Since this year has been a bad one with the passing of both my parents. I'd say that i am leaning on the everlasting arms of our lord Jesus Christ of Nazareth. It is a blessing to hear this beautiful song. For i have found peace from praying every morning and always being in the word.
Never stop praying ever!! This song reminds me of my nonnie my mom's mother. She was born in the hills of Tennessee in 1943 and her thing was always pray no matter what!!!
My mom’s getting close to dying at 87. Our government is in disarray. Society is in tatters. This virus thing rages through the people. There’s riots in the streets and news is always alarming. Wildfires rage in the hills. But we understand why: “...for all have sinned, and fall short of the glory of God...” Yet, as we are reminded by this sweet song, God’s Grace is sufficient. He cares for each one of us and has a plan for our lives. Trust not to your own understanding but lean on Him, who is our Creator. Peace be with you.
There's always been fires, floods, pestilence, mayhem, and bad breath, so what? Please don't let the rich peoples' noise machine get you too 'alarmed'. They've been screaming crazy things and saying the world was about to end for a long long time, and the sky hasn't fallen, and it won't. We will go on for a long, long, long time and everything will be fine.
I'm not a Christian, nor much of a 'Country' fan but I could listen to this tune over and over, (and I do!) I friggin' love Bluegrass and number one in my book are the Grascals. Every one of them are exceptional musicians,. The person in charge of their studio work can record, mix and master his or her ass off. One day I hope they come to San Diego when I'm not gigging myself, and I can afford the tickets to hear them live.
for those who want to sing along... What a fellowship, what a joy divine, Leaning on the everlasting arms; What a blessedness, what a peace of mind, Leaning on the everlasting arms. (Refrain:) Leaning, leaning, safe and secure from all alarms; Leaning, leaning, leaning on the everlasting arms. Oh, how sweet to walk in the pilgrim way, Leaning on the everlasting arms; Oh, how bright the path grows from day to day, Leaning on the everlasting arms. What have I to dread, what have I to fear, Leaning on the everlasting arms? I have blessed peace with my Lord so near, Leaning on the everlasting arms.
Spent some time with the group at the Midwinter in Denver a couple of weeks ago. Terry and Kristin and unique individuals and talented to boot. If you get a chance, see them. Don't be afraid to approach them at their booth or after a set, they are fun to talk to.
I remember Terry E. from grade school days....I think we rode the same bus actually. Was trying to remember if Grady was your brother or Peyton's? Enjoy your music very much!
Awwww! Beautiful harmonies, Terry E., Terry S., Jamie & Danny!!! & Awesome SOLID playing Kristin, Terry S., Danny & Guys!!! Great Monroe-style break Danny! Gotta be an old "Loar" your playing here, for it sure does look & sound like it!! I can see I need to start keeping up on your music, & Bluegrass Music in general, as I had not heard your version of this, 'til I found this video a few moments ago!!
I'll say it again, Terry Eldredge and crew were fantastic! Enjoy retirement ole buddy, thanks for all the great years. Check out "Praying" by Terry from 1994, it will touch your heart like this one.

The only thing better than gospel is bluegrass gospel. The best bluegrass gospel I know of is performed by the Grascals.
