The older boxes are more expensive compared to the card sales because the value lies in grading the cards. The cards in the sealed packs are in better condition that what's out there on the market not already graded. If you really want to see the value of the box, look up what the cards sell for in high grades like a PSA 10.
Nah, the real reason is because the value lies in grading the cards you get. So those "$40 charizards" are really 1k+ if you get a PSA 10 and that's only really possible from opening them from a fresh pack.
Dont use raw prices for older sets. The value in these lies in the graded price. The last sold psa 10 zard from evolutions was $1024 USD on 11/16/2024. The last reverse holo was $336
You can tell they are Tcg noobs haha. Boxes are only worth that much because scarcity. A very popular set that is a decade out of print. The price of the box is how old and rare it is. The only reason to open the packs nowadays would be for the experience, the sealed box is a much much more valuable collectible.
I love how no one remembers that this is a sponsored stream (toast thanked Pokemon Company... whoever that are) So, these "I buy your packs and open it for me" means he spent $0 to get $500 and $1000 No hate. Just throwing it out there. Amazing stream though. The interactions are amazing.
I love Imaqtpie so much. It's awesome to see him interacting more with the OTV ppl
Back when I was in the pokemon I opened both of those chazards when I was 11ish and sold them for $40 in total, I am regretting my decision
as dissapointed as me when im not buying bitcoin when i was born
Evolutions is only worth a lot if the booster box is sealed

XY evolutions cost so much because of the nostalgia opening them not the value of the cards inside
