Back in the '80s the last Fleet Air Arm Phantom did a double fly-through of Eastleigh airport. On the 2nd run it came in with undercarriage lowered and full flaps. the pilot then lifted the wheels & flaps up, opened the engine right up and stood it on it's tail to go straight up. What a fantastic noise!
After the last Phantom has flown, this youtube channel will serve as the last repository of the most High-Quality, HD footage shot of these jets in their final days of operational capacity. Thank you for filming these wonderful machines and posting your vids.
My good friend was a "plane captain" of one of these planes in the US Navy in the early 70's. He passed away long ago but it warms my heart to watch this marvelous video of the awesome aircraft he once worked on.
I don't remember how I stumbled across your channel but I fell immediately in love with the BEAUTIFUL clear shots of the F-4 and assorted aircraft, the cinematography and music choice are absolutely top tier as well, hats off and you've gained a long time fan.

Indeed, I do remember the F-4 Phantom ll's flying over our house in central Alabama during the night back in the 70's. These thing were soo LOUD and had the BEST sound of ANY fighter jet I've ever heard! One of my FAVORITE all time fighters no doubt about it! 👏👏👏👌👍💪❤💯
In 1963 the first F-4Cs delivered to the Air Force were late to arrive at the 15th TFW, MacDill, Tampa. The base was transitioning from MATS to TAC and was also involved in the Cuban Crisis. As a consequence we were burdened with F-84s recalled from the Guard while waiting for the Phantoms. Talk about "trash to treasure" The AF stuck a suffix on our AFSCs "freezing" us to the Wing just when I was fighting for a reassignment elsewhere. Having worked 3 years on the Huns I was glad to get back to them and Japan. The Phantom certainly earned its keep.

I miss seeing this units fly over my home as a little kid, some 35 years ago and the screeching sound they would make as they banked hard to line up for the run way... Used to shake everything in my parents home... It was great, unless you were trying to watch cartoons on TV...
these are the last flight of japanese phantom video. they were quit their flight in dec.1of 2019. also they showed us nice flight at the last flight day. that was awesome!
F4 Phantom is still in my opinion a SEXY airplane. Her lines are elegant and very curvaceous. Not a very good fighter but dam does she look good! The F4 is the plane that got me in aviation as a child.

I joined the U.S. Air Force just to watch the F-4 fly. Did just that as an air traffic controller 1974-1980.
74 to 80 for me also. Drill Sergeant had me paint the F4 on his office door. Still have a picture of that day. Lackland in August, fun times
