I think that Louie should make a fatty donation (books, supplies, backpacks, etc.) to Ms. K as a thank you for always believing in him. This teacher deserves the recognition ❤
I’m a strong believer that the education system in the US is not based on intelligence or measures your ability to learn, it’s structured towards obedience, following authority, and not to mention preparing you for an 8 hour day aka 9-5 schedule the rest of your life! Don’t feel bad Louie 💜
Louie, just remember. Steve Jobs was also a college drop out and look at what he was able to accomplish with Apple. College doesn't necessarily promise you a job when you graduate. "Success is the sum of small efforts - repeated day in and day out". "Success consists of going from failure to failure without loss of enthusiasm". "Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice and most of all, love of what you are doing or learning to do".
Hey Louie, remember college credits don't expire & now that you're making more money it would be less stressful financially. Don't be hard on yourself if you're happy where you are, you are extremely successful! But again if it's still a goal of yours, it's never too late you go this!❤
@@J10-f4s Technically, the answer is no. Credits never expire. However, the likelihood that they will transfer into a program may diminish over time. It just gets harder and harder to apply, but he is still very young so it's very unlikely they are impossible to apply.
This episode hit home for me, my brother just finished 6th grade and he has been struggling with reading his whole life and he’s more of a hands on learner and is so creative & Seeing everything you have accomplished Louie and how far you’ve gotten gives me hope for my little brother. 💜
He's gonna be ok! I hated reading writing essays and presentations. As a matter of fact I get sleepy when I ready and or my mind wonders off when reading therefore I only understand half of what I read, LOL! I definitely more hands on. I'm a nurse love my job and great money. I don't know how I got through nursing school. I definitely just aimed for just passing scores. Everything, I know now has been definitely hands on learning throughout the years and repeating things over and over again. Have faith your baby brother will find his way and he will do great! 😊
Shout out to the teachers that have their heart in the right place and make a difference. I'm sure there are plenty that don't get told how amazing and the change they made in the child's life, but I hope God blesses them 🙏 💖
one of my sleep paralysis moments actually happened in front of my mom and she said she saw and heard me trying to mumble to her and my eyes were wide opened with the look of fear and tears falling down my face
As a fellow teacher, it makes me so happy knowing Louie had a teacher who believed in him ❤ I tell my 6th graders that if they don't want to go to college that's okay but their K-12 education is important because it teaches them life skills such as perseverance, studying, creating goals, etc. and these skills will transfer when they enter the work force. I also tell them knowledge is power and nobody can take their knowledge away from them, whether it's book smart or street smart. Both types are important!
Louie, I don’t think you realize how smart you really are! Just because you didn’t finish college doesn’t make you less smart. You graduated high school and you even went to college for a couple of years that already says a lot!👏🏼 you are absolutely successful! And have done so much don’t feel any less just because you didn’t finish college
I struggled w/ figuring out what I wanted to do right out of high school & changed my major so many times. I took a few years off & Just realized that @ age 25 I decided I’m going back & finishing got my degree in business mgmt. graduated 5 years ago & don’t regret it one bit!
I'm 35 now but ya it's crazy I never put much thought into what mature change I made at 25 now that i think of it I left my daughter's dad at 25, after 8 years of hell. We were broken up for a whole year when he came asking me back, only thing this time my frontal cortex had just been developed so I said sorry I'll pass 😂💀 he was shook. That was 10 years ago and till this day best decision I've ever made
I completely understand what Louie is expressing!! My grandparents are from Puerto Rico and didn’t speak any English. At home with parents we mostly spoke Spanish and being in ESL at school made me feel so dumb. I would cry to my mom begging her to talk to my teachers because I hated being pulled out so much😢😢
This podcast episode has really motivated me to push myself to finish high school I unfortunately had to see all my friends graduate this year while I’m still stuck in high school but this podcast episode has really helped me
My fourth grade teacher would play guitar and have us sing the beatles songs like alllll day. He read the Hobbit to us & another book about an apprentice. If we would do our homework Fridays were strictly movie days, he would let us eat lunch at our desk We had another portable next to us w/ a teacher just like that, he started hosting "school plays" and where they recruited me after 3 months of them just pressuring me to do it. and I ended up preforming around our school district and making the newspaper. I pray my kids run into more teachers that truly have a passion to make a difference. I still talk to this teacher to this day and I'm 25 now. ❤
Hey Louie, As a teacher myself, I would loveeeeee to know if I ever make that much of an impact for one of my students. Just like she changed your life there are students that stand out and change ours. It’s my 7th year teaching and there are some students that I will remember for the rest of my life. I wonder how they are doing but it’s hard to reach out to them unless they reach out to me. Just a suggestion but I think you should try to reach out to her and tell her how much she meant to you. Maybe send her some flowers because she sounds like an amazing teacher and deserves a thank you.
Louie, you are so right that school is not for everyone. Success is different for everyone as well. I had struggled bc I have a learning disability and not know what career path that I would like to pursue. But, I had to finish on what I started. 15+ years later, earned my degree.
I loved the part about how important it is for schools to have bilingual classes. Moms of small children please look into Dual Immersion school in your school district. There always has to be at least one school if not more in your district that offers it in CA. Not sure about Al states 😢 but it’s a beautiful experience they start speaking Spanish and children of all races can start these but it has to start in kinder. They learn to speak, write and read in both Español and English! I highly recommend it ❤
I just want to say as a supporter of pride but also a mom of 2 i appreciate you saying it wasnt your place to teach kids sexuality and about what u identify as. ❤😂 lots of people rn cant get that.
I’m going to school for my PA I’ve been following you guys ever since the singing videos! You both came a long way and are both successful, not going to college doesn’t make you less. If I could’ve been successful as young as you through social media I would’ve definitely chosen that over college.
School isn’t for everyone but when there is a need there is no other choice, sometimes we just have to push through and in the end we are actually capable of completing school. We then realize wow I can do anything if I really wanted to! 😁❤️
I understand Louie I went to school for a couple of semesters and dropped out. And ended up going to a trade school and doing dental. When I see my friends/family graduating college I get so sad because I wish I got a degree and walked across the stage and my friends and family cheered me on :( it's does almost feel like it's a part of our lives and if you don't get a degree you're considered a "failure" I always think about going back to school also I'm 25 I definitely agree that when I turned 25 I made big decisions that I couldn't do when I was younger
Congrats to all the Grads this year!!😍😍 especially Nea😍😍😍🎉🎉 this episode was so fun per usual!!💜💗 and much luck to all who are in school and those who aren't whatever you path leads you🙏🙌🙌
I would also struggle so so much with reading in elementary and for the longest time my reading level was so so low and my 5th grade teacher did the same thing and helped me get it up and I’m so so appreciative of her for helping me get it up
I had sleep paralysis in my daughter’s room. I saw a girl with her hair covering her face. Very much giving grudge vibes. I was screaming couldn’t move or anything. Was trying so hard to move. After who knows how long after, I end up waking up & immediately picked up my daughter from the bed & took her to my room where my son & husband were sleeping. Never again am I sleeping there😂I swear if my daughter ever tells me anything about that room whenever she starts sleeping there, she’s not sleeping there ever. Cause girlllll.
I feel like being first gen Mexican American definitely plays a big role in us wanting to go to college. So the last time I was on the sofa and I could hear something behind the sofa and I literally in my mind was like show yourself I’m not scared and it jumped over the sofa and sat in front of the sofa looking at me I screamed, snapped out of it and ran to my room as fast as I could …needless to say I never slept in the living room since then 😂…bonus I had a nightmare a week or so back I was walking out of my restroom and I thought my daughter was sitting on my bed but as I get closer it wasn’t her and i started praying in my head and it was making fun of me mimicking my prayer I forced myself to get up and was shaking ..that same night my daughter had sleep paralysis in her room😭😭😭
Aw Louie I agree some teachers make a big difference! My reading teacher was exactly how you described and now I try to captivate my own kids with reading as she did for me! Was the book she read you called "Touching Spirit Bear" or something like that? ❤ I hope you can remember what it was called so you can kind of relive the feelings you had back then and I hope your teacher keeps in touch with you on here and is still so proud of you! ❤
It’s actually possible to have your eyes open during sleep paralysis, but if you’re seeing things that are not really there, then you’re having a hypnopompic hallucination. Fun fact: if you’re experiencing sleep paralysis, a way to get out of it is by trying to move a single toe or finger at a time instead of trying to move your whole body trying to run focus on one body part and it will get you out 😅
In mexico i had the worse sleep paralysis I saw a girl sitting mext to me long blk hair white robe I told my grandma next morning She told me she has seen that same girl before in the house

25:54 im literally what Louie said… im in 11th it’s summer so after summer I’ll be a senior and idk I feel like I won’t graduate on time and like Louie said I’m always behind everyone I’m not smart at all math or anything related to that, I don’t get and as much as I want to pay attention in my classes… wich I do but I don’t get what the teachers are saying and my anxiety makes me be quiet and nervous to tell the teacher to tell me the questions again
Ever since since 5th grade started the other grades I don’t remember but I remember since 5th started I became more dumb… yk even my parents were like “wth happened to you,you use to be so smart and get your sh1t done what happened” and trust when I say the same thing to myself bc yk what did happen to me and from 5th to now I have been real,y bad at everything in school nd with anxiety I’m scared to ask ppl for questions or answers so I just let myself fail.
Thank you both for talking about education! In a world where social media is so prominent in everyone lives, people often forget how important education is. I encourage everyone to go to college even if you don’t think that’s what you want to do. Those two, four years are going to pass you up anyway. College allows for you to grow and learn about the world and about yourself. No matter what your major is, higher education really grows your knowledge and mind. And like Yoatzi said, the degree is always there incase you need it. And remember yall, it’s never too late! 🫶🏼
i heard that when you have sleep paralysis, your putting to much pressure on your chest (when you sleep with your hands on your chest) your losing oxygen so your brain tries to react but doesn’t send full signals to the rest of your body so it wakes you up making you feel like you can’t move because your body is weakening - not my story
It’s also definitely a struggle older siblings might have to experience. I’m kind of like Andrea, I’m the youngest of three and unfortunately my two oldest sisters had to struggle more than I did.
Omg yes! For me I was just expected to go to college right after high school and I had no idea what I wanted I just picked something because at the time it seemed like it was for me, but I agree I wouldn’t make anyone make such a big decision like that until they have discovered themselves a bit & have experienced adulthood a little, after age 25
I think that Louie should make a fatty donation (books, supplies, backpacks, etc.) to Ms. K as a thank you for always believing in him. This teacher deserves the recognition ❤
Absolutely 🥲 and get a picture together 💓
Yess that would definitely help out his teacher especially since teachers have to provide most of the supplies to their students. ❤🎉

I was always slower than everyone every field trip in elementary and middle school I couldn’t go bc of how bad I was doing with my grades and work
and with reading I use to always be lower than anyone I use to be 1st grade level and ppl use to bully me for that
i love thursdays 😬
y’all really made me get a mini ataque by saying todays episode was cancelled 😩😂
LOVE YALLLL💗💜🥰🥰🥰
Loved the Mickey interpretation Yoatzi!😍😍
Thank you both for talking about education! In a world where social media is so prominent in everyone lives, people often forget how important education is. I encourage everyone to go to college even if you don’t think that’s what you want to do. Those two, four years are going to pass you up anyway. College allows for you to grow and learn about the world and about yourself. No matter what your major is, higher education really grows your knowledge and mind. And like Yoatzi said, the degree is always there incase you need it. And remember yall, it’s never too late! 🫶🏼
Luv you guys 🥰🥰
The way he said” you read it” 😂😂
i heard that when you have sleep paralysis, your putting to much pressure on your chest (when you sleep with your hands on your chest) your losing oxygen so your brain tries to react but doesn’t send full signals to the rest of your body so it wakes you up making you feel like you can’t move because your body is weakening - not my story
Yayyyy you guys posteddd:)💕💜
It’s also definitely a struggle older siblings might have to experience. I’m kind of like Andrea, I’m the youngest of three and unfortunately my two oldest sisters had to struggle more than I did.
CSUMB Alumna here 🙋🏻♀️ Still a big accomplishment Yoatzi congrats girl 🦦🥂✨
I loveeee you guys so much

Omg yes! For me I was just expected to go to college right after high school and I had no idea what I wanted I just picked something because at the time it seemed like it was for me, but I agree I wouldn’t make anyone make such a big decision like that until they have discovered themselves a bit & have experienced adulthood a little, after age 25
