    Very nice tutorial video dear friend. I use similar process to blend the oil pastel. Because I want to see rough texture and pigments of colours in my painting. I don't like to use cotton or finger or tissue papers to blend the colors. Thanks for sharing this video.

    What if I just need dark colours mixing black with dark blue. and what if it's small details I need to do?

    • @ThatArtTeacher
      @ThatArtTeacher  ปีที่แล้ว

      That should work, I love blending black to create the darkest shade. Just don’t over blend or the black will muddy and gray out your colors. 💛

    I am new to pastels and new subscriber to your channel. I am excited to start on your various pastel projects, but what type of paper do you recommend for practicing with pastels? I went to my local art supply store and pastel paper is kind of expensive for just fooling around with. I tried regular copy paper but the pastel didn't seem to adhere very well. Suggestions?

    • @ThatArtTeacher
      @ThatArtTeacher  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Pastel paper is great, but expensive! I’ve used a nicer construction paper with my students. Thicker paper works better, and a little tooth or texture is nice if possible.
      Welcome to my channel! 💛
