No... Company of Heroes would not work for a MechCommander game. You're suppose to be mobile at all times in BattleTech, the second you stand still is the moment you die.

@@hotukokyonko2805 For certain definitions of "mobile" (looking at you Mr. Atlas posterboy). It'd probably work fine for heavy and assault mechs, but trying to control a light or even a fast medium in real time would be micro hell.

I just noticed that the game has full localisation (including sound etc.) in German, Russian and Polish
Well King Art Games is located in Europe so getting actors that speak multiple languages was easy (and give authentic accents which I know Rimmy will LOVE on the Olga stealth mission.
There is a game mode where every nation speak in their language

My grandpa told me a story about the Polish. During WW2 the US was teaching the Free Poles how to operate submarines. After they were done they did a final send off type deal. The submarine now fully under Polish control and they started to dive and and didn't close the top hatch until the very last second.

Does this really boost the video though? What if TH-cam shadow banned this tricking of the algorithm and the only way to truly achieving a boost for the video is to comment something your youtuber of choice has said? I think that the algorithm keeps in mind what the youtuber said (via Auto-generated subtitles probably) and compares it to the comment you wrote. I often see popular videos where the comments are just quotes from the video, so maybe it actually has to do with that. You might ask: „hey random internet user, why are you even writing this comment“, and to that I have to say I do not really know. The thought just crossed my mind and that’s probably why. Also it is like almost 1 AM where I live and I am tired; don’t read too much in this comment I don’t know man

i have so much trouble on Master and Student. any advice on what mechs to use, where to position, and if i should even use field cannons?
@@IllegalTumor For me, i just focused my defense on the first chokepoint near where the enemy spawn. I don't know if it's just the AI but they rarely try to flank through the other chokepoints when i play. Anyway set up Brunehilde there the Erlkonig an HE cannon bunker a cannon and the Eisenhans don't forget to use Olga to set up explpsives and have Gunther on standby incase you need more punch.
@@IllegalTumor I personally didnt have much trouble there. I didn't defend along the roads like the game said we should, i just defended the chokepoints/entrances to the base.
I blocked off the top entrance with barbed wire + 1x Tier 2 bunker + 1 Field Cannon. The Bottom entrance i just defended with a Tier 2 bunker + 2 Field Cannons + Artillery Mechs. Between the waves I simply recaptured the resource places to get as much income as possible (also scrapped the wrecked mechs). If you want to go for the challanges, use the mortar infantry suit guys.
I have no idea what the units/buildings are called in english :D (sry!)
@@IllegalTumor Finish the first wave without killing the last artillery mech, stall and let resources gather. Build five artillery mechs and fill the rest of your supply except one engineer with those six legged two-barreled mechs.

When you join the German Army and you see your entire company getting stomped on by mechs and eaten by an attack bear and getting sniped by the trees and getting stabbed by giant Russian sickle robots and their bullets can't even harm the enemy because they're all medics:

The cavalry are actually the 2nd best mech killers in this game (1st place goes to the Field gun)
If you get the cavalry into melee I think the melee damage is the same for mechs as it is for infantry.
So you can cut down light and medium mechs in an instant (leave the heavies for the field gun they are to deadly and kill the horses very quickly)
Yup, the only counter to Mical is Zubov (maybe Janek and Prince Wilhelm once he gets fixed) and it is a meme (and asshole move) to play as him in mp.

Hell yes more Iron Harvest
When using Michal, the best way is to CONSTANTLY use the melee button, his melee does FAR more damage than the rifles, often quickly killing a light mech if you can get behind, but he's also a very vulnerable character, a glass cannon that can easily die in one hit if a strong cannon shot it strikes him rather than his horsemen. You have to be careful but he can destroy the enemy often when given an opening.
Janek and Olga have some hilarious banter in that last mission
This series should be called "Australian man losses his shit over Iron Harvest" (in a good way). Glad you're uploading this series, I'm finishing Saxony and always like to see other peoples reactions but almost no one uploads IH LPs.
This whole theme "Make people hate enemy, not be okay with occupation, by droppin' them into meatgrinder of war" heavily reminded me of "Iron Grip". And it's have walkers too, huh. Well, only spider ones, but still, stylistic somethat similar.
Fun Fact: The voice actor of heinrich steinmetz is the same that gave voice to literally ALL male characters in the german dub of Elder Scrolls Skyrim

Fun fact: The bear named Wojtek is based on a real bear that served during WW2, carrying ammo amongst and supplies amongst other things. He was even promoted to the Rank of Corporal!

This game is amazing. I feel like some of the infantry mechanics need to be *Polish* -ed, but the graphical setting of it is something otherworldly. Great video.
