@birkolsen1521 they are worth less than one villager in gather rate and if fishing they won't attack. In this case I value the ships attacking any approaching vils or sneaky docks rather than a little extra res. Early in this game I have them fishing and take big shots due to this.

Its fun to rag on water but it is some of the most entertaining gameplay to watch.
And I do enjoy it a lot of the time... mostly when I win lol. The thing is that fishing can snowball out of control oftentimes.
