The backwards cap on Lendl’s head seems nearly blasphemous. I remember Ivan wearing a desert style cap (2 flaps in back), but this just looks weird on Mr Robot.
I also really ask myself why Lendl did this, because I cannot recall a single other time before or afterwards that he would wear a backwards cap. Then it was still rather unusual to wear caps in tennis in general. And even more so to wear backwards caps of course. That was rather a fashion style of the 1990s.
Australian Open had a horrible camera angle for the first few years after they moved to Flinders Park, they finally fixed it in the mid-90s... the matches from the late 80s & early 90s were/are excruciating to watch. At least the video quality here is excellent.
Rec players should emulate Mecir's style of play, going for consistency, a serve that's not very fast but not easy to attack. And they'll probably win most of their matches. But they tend to emulate Federer and make lots of mistakes and lose.
I actually emulate Fed but mostly about the fluency and ease of strokes. It made me aim for easy swing and stay loose for easy power for better consistency, at least forehand wise

Mecir had troubles with his back. But Lendl was definitively too strong during this tournament. Really incredible during 2 weeks.

The heat demanded it. And i think it wasn't a fashion statement, the visor just gets in the way in terms of vision.
