I came across your channel by accident . Coincidentally I visited Hever in 1991 when I was studying in the UK. This video brought back great memories of my visit to the wonderful place
You should have your own TV show on the history channel! this is a great video, professionally filmed, perfect music and so much history. Lots of lovely places to visit in the UK. Thank you
Thanks Gill. That's very humbling. It is a fascinating place and I am not really a historian, just did some research on its past and I learnt a lot before passing it on in the video. I think it's always nice to learn a bit about a place you are visiting. Seen too many YT videos that have great shots but don't tell you anything. Hopefully, it was balanced and not to heavy on the history!.

I'm from Australia, we had a great day at Hever Castle in 2019, the gardens were beautiful. And I can confirm that the Henry IIIV pub has very comfortable couches in their beer garden!!!
Who knew that one person could make such a difference in the world in so many ways. People need to take their lives seriously. Henry was a madman! Thanks for this video. Who knew he would have lost the castle. I believe the Asters lost their lives on the Titanic.this was excellent!! The gardens are stunning!
I didn’t realise that Hever Castle and gardens were so big. Thank you for this as I don’t envisage ever being able to go visit. Love all of your tours. Thank you.
I went here October 2016. Not many people around… the gardens were so peaceful. I need to re visit again soon. I’m going Hampton court palace for my birthday this year.
So very beautiful, I love Tudor history but unfortunately I am disabled and can't visit places of interest so thank you so very much for taking me on your journey.

I am unable to travel at the moment, and your garden films are so healing for me. Thank you again, and much luck with your channel! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hello thanks for the lovely comments, glad that you find the videos helpful and interesting. We have quite a few up and coming videos in the pipeline but with bare in mind your request best regards.
Wonderful to actually see Hever, I've read so much about it, and now have a real ambition to see it, in person. I was surprised to learn the Astor family still owned the estate as late as 1983; but then, I'm an American, I associate the Astors with the history of my own country, and tend to forget there's a family line in England, too. Thanks for this peek at the castle and its beautiful grounds. EDIT: I just learned there are now more Astor descendants living in the U.K. than here in the U.S.!
Hello Karen, Glad you enjoyed the video and found out some new information. Hope you do manage to make it over and visit as you cannot beat it for real!
You will fall instantly in love the first time you see Hever, i did, i can hardly tear myself away at the end of my visit. Hever is in Kent, it has many beautiful historic places to see and visit, Leeds Castle is not to far away, and the home of Winston Churchill, Chartwell, is close by.
Great videos. I love your historical commentary and your choice of music. Music is not too loud as well. I never have to adjust my volume between music and commentary. Bravo!
It was quite busy when we went, I think because most indoor places were closed and so outdoor space was at a premium. Still it did spoil it as the grounds are huge so you can find quiet spots.
Another excellent tour! I can remember visiting Hever many times when I lived in Kent in the 70's.Shall definitely return and stay at Hever when travel re-commences.Thank you
Been too Hever a few times over the year's. This is beautifully filmed & produced. Don't think Anne Boleyn would recognise much of the grounds though as it's changed so much over the centuries since.
Thanks Andy, very historic place and glad you appreciate the history lesson. It is indeed a lot of work to hopefully get it all correct but interesting at the same time.
Anne, Mary and George are my many-time 2nd cousins. We share Howard great-grandparents. I have always felt so bad for what happened to all of them. I know many share my empathy and sympathy for them.
Had no idea there was so much going on at Hever Castle. Another excellent presentation, we are so impressed by such a professional presentation. Funny, when you showed an overview of the grounds and all the pick nick benches I said I'm sure that can't be a NT property, as there would be only 3- seats if you were lucky!! It was lovely to note all the benches for enjoying such a great day out. I even learnt some things about poor Anne that I didn't know before. (My only slight gripe was I found the music a little competitive in this one!)
Actually this one is not National Trust haha. It’s owned by a private company now. As you go back to our older videos the music is louder, over our time doing this we have learnt to use better music and quieter. 😊
@@MemorySeekers I thought it might have been an older one - but you really are very talented with your filming, editing, b-roll, voice overs - everything is SO professional. My husband was very impressed do appreciate the less-is-more so far as background music goes. I don't understand the lack of benches, unless people nick them?!!) He-he! Have a great Sunday.
