William the Conqueror Built 550 Castles All over Great Britain 50 miles apart This was the distance a Horseman could ride in a day I love your 📹 videos Marvellous work Thankyou 🇦🇺🦘👌❤️
It was quite busy when we went, I think because most indoor places were closed and so outdoor space was at a premium. Still it did spoil it as the grounds are huge so you can find quiet spots.
I'm from Australia, we had a great day at Hever Castle in 2019, the gardens were beautiful. And I can confirm that the Henry IIIV pub has very comfortable couches in their beer garden!!!
You should have your own TV show on the history channel! this is a great video, professionally filmed, perfect music and so much history. Lots of lovely places to visit in the UK. Thank you
Thanks Gill. That's very humbling. It is a fascinating place and I am not really a historian, just did some research on its past and I learnt a lot before passing it on in the video. I think it's always nice to learn a bit about a place you are visiting. Seen too many YT videos that have great shots but don't tell you anything. Hopefully, it was balanced and not to heavy on the history!.

I came across your channel by accident . Coincidentally I visited Hever in 1991 when I was studying in the UK. This video brought back great memories of my visit to the wonderful place
I didn’t realise that Hever Castle and gardens were so big. Thank you for this as I don’t envisage ever being able to go visit. Love all of your tours. Thank you.
Who knew that one person could make such a difference in the world in so many ways. People need to take their lives seriously. Henry was a madman! Thanks for this video. Who knew he would have lost the castle. I believe the Asters lost their lives on the Titanic.this was excellent!! The gardens are stunning!
Wonderful to actually see Hever, I've read so much about it, and now have a real ambition to see it, in person. I was surprised to learn the Astor family still owned the estate as late as 1983; but then, I'm an American, I associate the Astors with the history of my own country, and tend to forget there's a family line in England, too. Thanks for this peek at the castle and its beautiful grounds. EDIT: I just learned there are now more Astor descendants living in the U.K. than here in the U.S.!
Hello Karen, Glad you enjoyed the video and found out some new information. Hope you do manage to make it over and visit as you cannot beat it for real!
You will fall instantly in love the first time you see Hever, i did, i can hardly tear myself away at the end of my visit. Hever is in Kent, it has many beautiful historic places to see and visit, Leeds Castle is not to far away, and the home of Winston Churchill, Chartwell, is close by.
I went here October 2016. Not many people around… the gardens were so peaceful. I need to re visit again soon. I’m going Hampton court palace for my birthday this year.
I am loving all your travel guides! So professionally done, with researched voiceover and lovely music. I have a request: might you make a long video of just all the gardens and music, with just some small annotation of where we are? I am unable to travel at the moment, and your garden films are so healing for me. Thank you again, and much luck with your channel! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Been too Hever a few times over the year's. This is beautifully filmed & produced. Don't think Anne Boleyn would recognise much of the grounds though as it's changed so much over the centuries since.
