I have philips master Son-t apia plus Hg Free 70w = 6300Lumen, 2100K, 38000 lifetime it's very good and cool hps bulb, but without mercury it has a very peculiar yellow color.
Then how come the bulb didn't burn out when I worked on it like that? but what i noticed is that the second time i put the bulb in it seemed to turn off the lamp ignitor automatically, i.e. it didn't do that red flash on the lamp ignitor at first, how is that explained?
Nice mercury vapor lamp

I have an Osram vialox nav-e HPS which has a built in ignitor and I run it with an external starter, could this damage the bulb?
@@johnjunior5421 as far as I know, yes
