Best gig I've ever seen is still Loop at the Queen Margaret's Union. Some kit didn't turn up so they did an instrumental set. That was a belter and so is this
LOOP are a totally brilliant noise-fest of a band. I was well into them in the late 80's/early 90's and again NOW ! Superb Loop sound - so much so that my head's come off!
Just listened to this several times in a row and I'm blown away by how good it. How "classic" it sounds but how relevant and "now" it seems too. Love that the video has the eye image like a lot of older loop had too. There are several groups from the same era that when they release new stuff I feel a bit disappointed by, I'm looking at you J. Spaceman, but this gives the excitement of the old with the joy and excitement of the new. Oh dear I'm being an embarrassing Fanboy. I'm very happy to have Loop back
First saw loop in the crypt in my home town Deptford, probably 30 years ago , also saw them in North London on a new years eve and the floor of the venue was just covered in broken beer glasses.
LOOP ROCKS, THEY ROCK. I saw you play at The London School of Economics back in the day. Happy Mondays opened for you, but they were pissed off about something and walked off. You tore the roof off.
would normally be full of trepidation for an album arriving 32 years after the previous record but not this one. Really hope they tour again. Saw them first time round and then about seven years ago when the EP came out. Didn't think I would hear of them again.
Glad to have you guys back again. One of my biggest gig regrets was missing you guys live with Godflesh at Junction 10 in Walsall back in 1990. I was only 17 at the time and found out about it too late and ended up missing it and have been gutted about it ever since. This track is amazing!
I was somewhat altered when I caught Loop at the Kentish Town , Town and Country Club in the very early 90’s. Spent half the gig hiding under a table!🥴Sounded like the feckin’ apocalypse, I thought it was! 😱Great to hear from them again though …. Really!🤘🙏
Why has this only just come up on my recommendations!!! At least the great algorithm has caught up! The joy I feel at something new from loop is way greater than it should be for a man of my increasing years
EXACTLY what you would excpect from Loop. 33 years since A Gilded Eternity and Loop haven't moved forward one centimetre. Loop's musical range is comparable to the territorial range of the average domestic cat.. the back gardens of three houses and a few yards up the street. Still as aloof and faux enigmatic as ever as they give fans exactly what they want. Still quite listenable though.. good music for putting some wallpaper up.
Loudest band I've ever heard. Woughton Centre, Milton Keynes 1988. 99% of the audience went outside into the foyer to listen, it was obnoxiously loud 😝
I remember travelling up to hull to do a gig at the uni then the adelphi and then walking to spiders to get pissed and hearing collision time and thinking who the fuck is this.great times
I love this band....criminally underrated
Absolutely awesome.
54 and still digging Loop.
Chain, cold, you're back. Thank goodness.
Once you get caught in the loop, there's no getting out of the loop!
loplop
F A N T A S T I C .....Traditional....RESPECT!
Sounding Retro, Futuristic, and totally now. Loved it.

Energetic, dominant and much more...!
so excited Robert is making music again! This track is incredible and so classic Loop.
Great song, great comeback.
Yesssssssss!
Blinding track. Loop are back, and sounding revitalised. Prepare for Arc Light!
Colossal beauty LOOP missed from the musical tapestry
Hope your beautiful
Projects bear wonderful fruit universally ❤❤❤❤❤

This is what I need!

Fuck, yeah.
Loudest band I've ever heard. Woughton Centre, Milton Keynes 1988. 99% of the audience went outside into the foyer to listen, it was obnoxiously loud 😝

👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
ow my head
Why has the release date slipped by two weeks? This was supposed to be out today (11th). So disappointed.
Think it needs a fuddleydumph at the end.
SHOEGAZE!!!
You really don't know what it is do you? LOOP was way before the lame term "shoegaze" was coined by NME and Melody Maker.
Alternative rockers perhaps ?
Not really.
Saw these in deptford crypt
lycis of the album anyone? 😅
Any luck with the lyrics?
I hear some Joy Division in there
