I think us Ladies were at 😭 without needing to understand the lyrics. For me, this is Bae Doo-Hoon's song for the emotion he delivered. But, that wall of sound at the end, is one of the best vocals you will ever hear.
I love this french sad song (sure i'm french). Good prononciation and intrepretation . Thank you for reaction and continue the journey with Forestella . 😊❤
Whenever I watch this performance, I don’t know why I always hold my breaths(especially in the last part), even if I know nothing about French. Please find their original song “Utopia” which was released last month. You can understand more about Forestella and their musicality. 😊
Hi Kev & Dave, another stunning performance from the guys They do research the songs they sing, have them translated so they can fully understand what The song is about, and how to relay the emotion of it. Have you listened to 'Time in a Bottle' and the latest brilliant track out (written for them by Valensia 'who is amazing too', and Forestella had massive input in the lyrics) UTOPIA ... IS TRULY PHENOMENAL. I think you will really enjoy it. Best wishes to you chaps, from Wales 😊🏴
Many thanks fot both of you to react Forestella's sad song in a thoughtful manner. And.... I don't know why but I can't help smiling when seeing you guys. Very cute and fun.
Thanks for yet another reaction. Have you seen their version of 'My favourite things' ? So much fun. You would also like their 'Lie detector test'. That's the funny side of Forestella.
Thank you guys for reacting to my ever favorite Forestella cover... I have heard them singing it hundreds of times and yet each time I have the chills... thanks again
“Je suis Malade” was written by famous French singer & songwriter Serge Lama together with composer/singer Alice Dona in 1973. This is based on his own experience and he was the original performer, hence some lyrics are a bit male-oriented (eg my mother leaves me, whiskies, I pour my blood in your body, …). When Serge Lama had a dinner with Alice Dona and told her about his obsessive love that was leading to a road block, she came back home and compose the music in a couple of hours. The morning after, she presented him the music and he wrote the lyrics in … 20 minutes. Serge Lama was the original performer in 1973, it started to be promoted on the radio, and the song was brought to fame only when, a few months after, Dalida covered it. She was an absolute mega star in France, another emotional powerhouse, and this song resonated very much with her own feelings. Her success with this song transformed it into a french classic, and started to make it famous abroad. But it is Lara Fabian that really made this song a very popular song in many countries with her cover in the mid 90s. At that time Dalida had already passed away, but Serge Lama was (and is) still alive. Dalida and Serge were two inspirations for Lara, so she sent an audio copy to Serge of her version. She was unknown at that time in France but he was so impressed with her vocal skills and her emotions rendering that he invited her in France to sing it as a duet. They became good friends. Lara has made some subtle changes to the song that gave it even more power and Serge Lama adopted these in his later interpretations. The 1999 version ("From Lara with Love" Concert in Montreal) th-cam.com/video/eHSyk4SGtuY/w-d-xo.html is legendary internationally and has attracted many artists to do a cover, even from non french-speaking countries. The most recent ones I am aware of are from italian singer Giulia Falcone, from the korean singer Choi Sung Hoon or from the korean band Forestella.
I'm so happy you guys keep reacting to Forestella which I love the most in this earth! When I was so depressed, I saw "Phantom Singer 2" by chance, and knew this quartet. Since then, I'm still comforted by their music. They're not only very talented but also really serious what they're doing, and never disappointed me at all. It's another fun for me to watch their normal life through their TH-cam channel cuz they're really funny in real lives. Without them, I might had to go to the phychology consultation by now. Have a good one! 😆
love your sincere reaction! I strongly recommend their "Champions" as it's champs season and i am pretty sure you guys are ctrazy about football ⚽️ th-cam.com/video/6mPz30ZKg7Q/w-d-xo.html

Among Forestella's covers, this is my favorite mournful song. Bae Doo-hoon's vocal tone shines in this song. 😭

이노래포레가최고는최고인가보다,,이분들웬만해서는,노래중간에안끊는데
They bring almost every genre with their own color. Listen to their new song 'Utopia'. They show the essence of rock opera.❤
Try to react to their rendition of Champions…👍💚
One more suggestion: Their cover of Jim Croce's "Time in a Bottle". You will love it!
