hello, i just wanted to let you know that i used your 701 training as a supplement to my studies . . . several of your practice questions were spot on when i took my 701 test and passed it. your training was key to pass the exam and i suggest anyone using their training
I just passed my security + this afternoon and I came here to say thank you so much cyberkraft!! Your videos had a HUGE role in my success. You have a forever subscriber here!!! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!
Im studying now and this is the first time I have seen questions like this. I have read two books, Exam Cram and Gibson's get certified get ahead, dion and professor messer practice exams as well as Pearson practice exams and none of them had questions drilling these topics and the books glossed over it
I take mine tomorrow and only just found these vids- None of this stuff is in the course material! Seems I got lulled into a false sense of security by crushing Messer and Dion practice exam qs...
Since L2TP/IPSEC works on both, would have received credit for mirroring the set ups? Reducing the amount of solutions seems ideal from a network management/security standpoint.
Great question! Unfortunately, no. That's because SSTP is designed by Microsoft, which would make it the correct choice for the Windows server. That leaves L2TP/IPSEC for the Mac.
@@cyberkraft1 I missed that you could only use each item once, now it makes sense. I'm planning to take Sec+ before June and these performance-based questions always make me nervous for taking the actual test. You make it look easy to de-construct the questions, which isn't a skill I seem to have.
@@cyberkraft1 Why do they pair up L2TP and IPSEC when they both use different ports? L2TP uses port 1701 UDP and IPSEC uses 500 UDP. How did you discern the correct port from both those options?
There wasn't any -O option for doing the operating system hence the only option left is -A. I think this instructor was concerned with the fact that this is an aggressive scan which will be detected vs. a stealth scan which usually isn't. This exam isn't worried about being stealthy but just ways to get the info.
You can practice all of the PBQs for the Server+ certification (SK0-005) in our self-paced course: cyberkrafttraining.com/product/comptia-server-sk0-005-self-paced-course/ This course comes with 1 on 1 study sessions and a 7 day full money back guarantee.
Do you have a link to the PBQ that was asking for which systems were infected, origin, and clean? I had that PBQ on both of my fails and im 100% sure i got that wrong. I failed with a 709 and 714 so far out of the required 750
Marc, check out my Security+ course where I teach you exactly the commands you'll need to memorize without any of the fluff: cyberkrafttraining.com/security-plus-sp/
That full/split is pretty sneaky, really they should have showed on the diagram that there's a gateway/proxy/internet at the corp datacenter. Then it's knowable.

PBQs are the hardest to study for because the practice ones are never anything like the test ones. I take my test tomorrow. Wish me luck!
did you pass?
I did!
@@drewjohnson6860 what kind of pbqs were on it
Congrats!!! I just passed this afternoon as well!!! Goodluck on your future endeavors ❤

17:15 -sF is different from -F. -sF is a FIN scan
Taking the SY0-601 Exam Friday. last time I took the exam it was SY0-101... 19 years ago. I missed it by 4 points.
Best of luck on your exam!
Did you pass?
Yes I did. 4 days of 14 hour a day studying.
@@Anavalache Wow that's a lot of studying in a short amount of time.😬
Congratulations! 🎉🎉🎉
Are the exam PBQs really like this?? I'm fcked.
Where was I supposed to learn SSTP is a windows protocol vs MacOS protocol??
Yeh I’m writing tomorrow and realising how screwed I am 😂
@@rishabh9188 Did you pass?
@@ascheme9705 no, got 77% ): im writing again soon. feel more confident now after having gone over the dion material and practice tests on udemy

11:27 It is important to note that nmap SYN scan does NOT complete the TCP 3-way handshake. That's the TCP scan which is -sT
Man I’m writing in 5 days and some of these are scaring the hell out of me 💀
thank you for this video! where would I be able to find the nmap cheat sheet you mentioned?

im lost on this PBQ
I have a test on 29th Jan and I feel like not ready for PBQs
Did you pass?
I passed
I am using cert master and the practice pbq for this one is different. This only applies to 601?

That's confusing because openvpn offers 265bit encryption too.
I think it is because L2TP/IPSec has a native support in macOS (no additional software needed)
Couldn't find the nmap cheat sheet on the website could you please link me?
Do these apply to Server Plus SKO-005 I can't seem to find any PBQ's for that certification?
