i feel like this would have been a good anime, or even an adult swim after midnight show to keep it american, like “lucy: the daughter of the devil” (i believe that’s the name of the adult swim show), i think it was geared to the wrong network. id watch it tho!
I think it didn't get greenlit because it was corny at the time. I remember watching this on tv with a bunch of other pilots on MTV. I remember thinking that the show felt like emo bait.
I haven’t seen a lot of anime, so I wouldn’t say I’m much of a fan of it. Though, of the ones I have finished (Death Note, Serial Experiments Lain, and Jujutsu Kaisen 1+2) JJK is by far my favorite.
i haven’t heard about this show until now. such a shame MTV cancelled it, so much wasted potential. amazing video btw!

Oh wow! The one you mentioned reminds me of this other anime I almost forgot about called “FLCL” which I also enjoyed.
