Today I want to share some skincare / korean skincare products that I truely belive are hidden gems. These underrated products get pushed to the side by 'viral ' products but hopfully, these prodcts are gonna get their time in the spotlight.
Focusing mainly on healing, soothing and calming the skin barrier as well as enlarged pores, blackheads and sebaceous filaments, these are the products you should try!

I have tried a few of your recommendations and you have never steered my wrong! I am 58 with drier skin and live in the United States. You have exposed me to products I wouldn't have otherwise known about.
Tell me more. I’m 51 with semidry skin. What is your favorite cleanser and moisturizer?
CeraVe moisturizer cream is the best I've ever found !!! I have spent thousands on moisturizers because I don't want dry skin . I have combo skin but I'm using tretinoin and my eyes are dry now and CeraVe is the best ever . It beats Charlotte Tilbury magic cream,drunk elephant,lancome, Estee Lauder,. Another great one is ole Hendrickson!!! Absolutely amazing@@Kbeautywithmamamaja
Anything but Cerave lol there are so many great products out now that are as affordable without being so boring
@@Noora2299 nothing beats CeraVe . It's boring 😂😆😂😆 but it's absolutely the best for dry skin .
I have used massive brands and nothing beats CeraVe moisturizer cream. Cetaphil is good also but the high end isn't great that I've tried and it's a lot . Charlotte Tilbury magic cream is basically almost like CeraVe but not as good for 8 times the price . Ole Hendrickson is absolutely amazing. I have tried lancome ,Estee Lauder,drunk elephant, Charlotte Tilbury, KHIELS. KHIELS is a good brand . I like Estee Lauder and lancome but not the moisturizer

James! I'd love a video on what general skincare routine would be a good basis for each decade or so. Like teens, 20s, 30s, etc. I know those are very general ranges but maybe a video on how to handle certain issues that typically occur in those ranges or something? Please! 😊
Glowing... literally! I don't personally like that look but more power to him because his skin surely appreciates the TLC
i thinkk the lights make it extra shiny, but i WISH my skin glowed like that 😄

And if it’s like me, I start that glowy, but it eventually settles in the skin and it becomes more dewy than glowy. At my age (54) I like dewy, but not glowy. 😄

That CosRX BHA Blackhead Toner is a miracle worker. Really helped to shrink and prevent blackheads on my skin. I've been using it consistently since 2018!

My entire skincare routine is Cosrx! I tried them on James' recommendations and I'm in LOVE with the change in my skin!

I stumbled onto your channel years ago and became an instant skincare addict, unfortunately about a year ago my skin became very reactive and broke out to literally every product even my tried and true favorites, so I fell out of skincare yt bc I was only able to use prescription products from my derm. But a few weeks ago I decided to dip my toes back in and so far everything has been great! I just got my style Korean awards box too, so excited about that! Tysm for all the amazing recommendations so I can start to build my collection back up! ❤

Everyone is different and acne is such a complex problem, but two over the counter products that helped me amazingly well are an azelaic acid serum: I started out with the Inkey List one, which is fine, but a step up from that is the Facetheory Lumizela serum. This one works better under make up too. The second product is the Succinic Acid Acne Treatment from the Inkey List. I don't use it as a spot treatment, but as a serum at night as the last serum before my nightcream. The combination of sulfur and BHA works magic for me. It doesn't smell nice though, hence why I use it in my nighttime routine haha.
Dermatologists will always go for Benzol Peroxides and stuff like that, but these two are gentle options to try if you are not into that.
If you can afford to see an esthetician, I would highly recommend microneedling. It is AMAZING.

@JamesWelsh The only product you've ever recommended that I have purchased & I didn't care for was the Make face wash from one of your favorites or holy grail videos a few years back. It just wasn't right for my skin, not a bad product, My face just didn't feel clean after using it & I had slight breakouts after using it. I determined my skin likes & can handle a light exfoliating cleanser every day. All that to say, you never steer us wrong. Thank you for maintaining your integrity & what you're "about" as a person & content creator! 🖤

Glad you’re doing more skincare reviews on TH-cam! I don’t have TikTok but still appreciate your reviews (as well as all your other videos of course). I live in Taiwan so a lot of these products are unavailable to me but I still like listening to them. If you ever get the chance, try some Taiwanese skincare! It’s just as good, if not better, than Korean and Japanese!

Ohh I am most interested in trying MAMONDE Blue Azulene Cloud Toner. However, I tried azulene many years ago and got pimples from it. Mamonde might be a better gentler formula so I'll see.
Could you please review some body care items? Or maybe something for dark spots? I had an allergic reaction and it left scars/dark spots all over my back and arms. I'm trying desperately to get rid of them

The Saltair deodorant is SO good. I used Lume for years, and liked it fine, but the 10% AHA Deodorant that Saltair has is far superior. I didn’t think I’d like the liquid/roll-on experience but it works too well to care about it feeling weird for a minute while it dries down. Even got my parents to use it!
I think im going to try to cosrx BHA next. I've been using american brand salicylic acid most of my life since from being a teenager and while they work to an extent, my face gets pretty irritated from them. The only one i havent received extreme irritation from is the cerave one.

I was on Stylevana yesterday buying the CosRx lip plumper (cuz you said it was worth trying😅) and saw a product from the brand VT, the Collagen Reedle Shot. They said it has "natural microneedles" that help your skin absorb the collagen and other ingredients, and that just sounded kinda sketchy to me. Have you seen this product? I need to know what you think!!

This is kind of random, but my husband has really bad flaking from his beard, any recommendations for that? He’s tried to use a dandruff shampoo, but it’s not helping that much
Does he use a toner?! I like to massage toner in, mousturise whilst it still damp and then brush with a beard brush!
