Children's Audiology

Most of our children are seen by appointment at our Audiology Departments within the Forth Valley Sensory Centre, or at Stirling Community Hospital. Our regular clinics at the Forth Valley Sensory Centre mean that some children can be seen without the pressures of a typical hospital waiting room environment.
The children can be having so much fun, they have no idea that they are also having their hearing tested. We pride ourselves when the children have enjoyed themselves so much that they don’t want to go home.

imo, I much prefer the old fashioned VRA models with toys in them. They would be much more appealing to kids since they have lights and real movement, rather than looking at a TV screen. It sparks more curiosity and would get better results.

You can test hearing just fine like that, then people made a big frequncy box at clinics for people to sit in for employment screening. They have to sit in a frequncy box for some reason.
Amita Carol stream, Taylor clinic in St Charles il have them. Wonder what happens in the box

This was just what I was looking for to help prepare my autistic son for his hearing test - but why the scary forbidding music at the start?!! Not quite so helpful!!
