Great interview, I love you speaking passionate about the gear - being it crampons or ice screws. You mention the shift towards running and moving quickly. Do you have a recommendation for crampons for running/hybrid shoes that don't have the rear welt for semi-automatic crampon? Or is it just the case that new shoes that are semi-automatic crampon ready are emerging and you expect most athletes to use them in the near future? (As an owner of Salomon S/lab XA Alpine shoes I'm regretting that ithe shoes is not semi-automatic crampon ready)
I would be seriously surprised if they decided to develop a snowboard boot compatible system for these. It just doesn't seem to be in their wheelhouse. Blue Ice is based in Chamonix, not exactly the hotbed of snowboard mountaineering. ;)
Thank you for the video Bill, love the crampons , going to order the Harfang Alpine today! All Blue Ice gear is well thought out.
Right on!
great line of products
I wanted to see someone using those ultralight crampons those Super Guides.
That would be an amazing combo!

Snowboard boot version ?

These don’t even fit most boots for people with US size 12 and up, and it’s impossible to change the toe bail
