That 2022 Sonic show was my first introduction to GEL via TH-cam recommended list. That same show also had Scowl on the bill. 2 great "new" (to me) bands to dig into. Both Sonic sets uploaded by Hate5six channel and another band also. I will be seeing GEL live in Lawrence KS this October. Lots of great new Hardcore coming out the last couple years.
Not sure if its because of how fun the live videos look but this feels like happy hardcore. Even a song lije Bitchmade that begins with the yell of "you cowards" comes off as very upbeat and positive. Or maybe I'm just trippin. Either way it brings me back to the first time my crusty friends introduced me to Sacrilege UK and thats a great feeling. ❤
Fuck this has got to be the hottest thing ever cut into a slab of vinyl. Thought my amp was just peaked, but no it just sounds like that. Looking forward to thoroughly cooking many voice coils with this. Good shit.
Anyone else notice that the main riff on "Assumption" is exactly the same as the one from " Pressure" by BIB? Like, they're very literally the same riff

This is my new favorite band and the only negative thing I have to say about this album is that the mixing is absolutely terrible. Drums are too loud and vocals are WAAAAAY too low! She is the star of the band and somehow you can barely hear what she is singing! Please re-mix the album!
