We never saw Qui-Gon getting all flippy and agile because he modified form 4 to best suit his physicality, trading agility for power and strength. If you needed another reason to love Qui-Gon, he created his own sub-genre of form 4.
But, this adaption of the style wasn't exactly great, and proved how short-sighted Qui-Gon was in some aspects, as he always relied on his talent with a lightsaber to carry him through his time as a Jedi, rather than learn a practical form for a humanoid with a normally aging body, like his master Dooku, who suffered no weakness to his style up to the age of 83. Qui-Gon also failed to take this into account with his apprentice, and advise him to take on a better form before his death. It was actually Obi-Wan witnessing the weaknesses in Qui-Gon's form that made him decide to change to Soresu from Ataru.

Cin Drallig was a master in all forms, but never specialized in a single style or combined the styles to best suit his preferences/talents, instead he was the instructor for all seven and was very good at his job, but as a Jedi Battlemaster, he was absolute shit compared to his predecessors yet again that was during the wars against the Sith. What need does a Battlemaster have for actual battle experience when there were no wars during his raising, training, or for most of his adulthood? As such, he never had to improvise and all his fights were in controlled settings. It is like the difference between a Competitive Fighter and a proper Warrior, even if the Warrior had far less training they are by far the more likely to win against an opponent whom has ONLY known training.

Coleman Trebor was a form 3 master? I thought he was a form 6 master. But that's a topic where a lot of retcons happened, so what do I know? (I think the worst user of form 3 might have been Luminara) Agen Kolar is for sure NOT the worst user of form 5.

@TheStarWarsLoremaster was not considered the best fight of his time and defeated opponents such as fellow sith lords, jedi and gendai. Didnt also lift a siege singlehandedly. Plus kreia makes special mention of him when talking to meetra surik when talking about the prowess of the old masters.

Obi-Wan wasn't a form 3 practitioner during his duel against Maul

That fight is the reason why he started using form 3. He saw his master getting tired during the fight, the same thing with himself.
