    I like how she shows a quiet orchestra at 3:33 and then, at 3:35 she shows an orchestra with the conductor freaking out.

    Yup, Brahms is often overlooked because he wasn't the most innovative when it comes to defining a genre. But his harmonic language is devastatingly beautiful, so that alone makes him one of my favs of all time.

    The oboe existed long before the Romantic era even started, in the Classical and even Baroque eras.

    ''Wild, thrilling, adrenaline fueled style [...] not clean and tiny, it's a controlled chaos" I think Liszt would be the one fainting if he heard that! I've only seen like 4 videos of your channel and I know I'm going to watch them all already! Thanks for the enthousiasm, you are really fun to watch and learn about Music.

    This was great! Very informative. Chopin is definitely one of my favorite composers and is exactly who I think of when I think of the romantic period. Would you consider making a video further discussing the characteristics of romantic period composers, particularly Chopin, in terms of music theory and composition?

      I think that nocturne is not a good example of a nocturne. I think it'll be his Op. 48 no. 1 nocturne. As for the rest of the pieces, I think it'll be his be his Ballad No. 3, it's very romantic and beautiful (It's my fav ballad), or his Ballad No. 2 or 4, they're very EPIC.

    When exactly does the mid-romantic era begin and end?

    • @PianotvNet
      @PianotvNet  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      If the Romantic era is roughly between 1800-1875, then you could assume somewhere in the mid-1800s. As far as I know there aren't any distinct dates, just general ideas.

    Lady, the oboe was not a new instrument introduced in the 19th century - it has been a standard instrument in Western classical music at least since the Baroque (and has forbears that go back to ancient Greece). I think you are thinking of the B flat clarinet and even that was introduced by the Viennese classical school. The bass clarinet was never a standard instrument. Its role in symphonic music is rather small. I'm glad you are enthusiastic and are posting these videos but please do your research.
