    I am Republic of Korean.
    Your survival analysis lecture is really the best.
    Thank you for the good lecture.

    This has helped me more than you can ever know. I'm writing my dissertation on the use of survival models for space weather prediction and this has been a life saver! Thank you so so soooo much!

    Wow.. this was awesome. My head rolled when i tried to study from ISLR, with all the formulae and complex notations.. this definitely helped. Cheers to you.

    I am an associate professor of biostatistics and I am teaching survival analysis. I am telling you YOUR PRESENTATION IS AWESOME!! Well done! Thanks :)

      Wow, thank you a lot! It's especially great to hear this from a biostatistics colleague! You made my day 😊

    Any video or reading reference on the difference between dependent and independent parametric survival models and when to use each of them for extrapolating data beyond the trial period?

      oh man, that's a deep one! I don't have a quick answer for that.

    Hi, could you please make a video for cox-hazard model?

      It’s on my list of future videos for sure. Try to get to it asap.

    Thanks for the great video! I just have a small question. At about 6"00, s(t)=-exp(HAZ*t), in which formula the s(t) is negative. Is it not possible? I think s(t) could be 1-exp(HAZ*t)

      Yes, correct. I think I described it like that also in the article yuzar-blog.netlify.app/posts/2021-01-06-survival-analysis-2-parametric-survival-models/. Anyway, at the end of the article there are a few resources, especially of professor Marin. He explains a lot of stats very well! Hope that helps!

    Do you know if we can display the equations of each parametric curve on the graph?

    • @yuzaR-Data-Science
      @yuzaR-Data-Science  ปีที่แล้ว

      I only do it with simple regression. I use ggpubr package and stat_regline_equation() function. However, never tried it with survival models. Let's me know when you'll manage it. Thanks for watching!

    I'm sorry, but all the equations from 02:30 to 07:30 are completely wrong (except for the final Survival which is correct for a constant hazard). They do not follow the rules of probability - namely, F(x) and S(x) must be positive, and range from 0 to 1.

      thanks for the feedback! could you please provide easy to understand references, where not mathematicians would be able to see, whether my equations are wrong. that would be nice for both, me and folks who are reading these comments.
