To be honest, James is the hardest to read ('mysterious' like Nadine says) and sometimes I think "Oh he obviously just sees her as a friend" but then he does things like constantly bites the card to hide his kilig, and then pats her/touches her on the head. I think what James is doing is he's super conscious of the camera and of everyone else, so he's trying really hard to control whatever it is he's feeling. I know he's said it before: that he controls the emotions he has for Nadine, and that he channels it into work (e.g. whatever he is feeling is "all just work") so it doesn't develop further than that. It isn't that James just sees her as a friend, I think it's James trying really hard to control it and keep it that way. Which, I guess for now isn't a bad thing but I do think that in the (near?) future, the more he tries to control it, the harder it might be. His actions will always let what he's really feeling slip through.

But then he says things like "If it's not Nadine, then I'd probably rather be alone." (this one's from Kapamilya Chat) when asked about the possibility of him being paired up with another girl for a loveteam. I just think that "partners in crime" is an apt label for the relationship they have at this point in time.
