9:50 so true, my older brother played soccer his whole teen years and in college, got obsessed with bodybuilding and now wants to look like Sam Sulekh. He is actively ruining his athletic build and I genuinely feel bad for him. All because he wants to fit in with his new friend group.

Point out to him that muscles are the gay male gaze, every time he gets a compliment from another man. That's one he SHOULD get from a woman.

And as a male I don't care about big chests, bums or lips. I much prefer smaller more natural proportions.

I'm 77kg and my Bodyfat is 16% and I'm starting to look great. I have been training for years and years and years. Since last 2 years my diet has been on point. Currently I'm cutting.

Hi, I am 29 years old, 510, 175 to 180 pounds. I’ve been training for about a year and two months pretty consistently only missing a week here or there for an injury. My goal is to go hard for two years I go around 3 to 5 times a week. Changing my schedule every few months
Listening to this I feel like I’m in a great spot. I will focus on neck, shoulders, and forearms.
I am married and have a two year old son, knocked up my girlfriend a few years ago I want to get bigger and stronger to be a better dad. I fucking love my life.
    How about you guys?

I have seen guys who weigh less than 140lbs and look bigger and more impressive than people who 30-40lbs heavier.
Following scale weight is only good to see what direction it's going but the numbers themselves mean nothing.
Nobody has a clue what you weigh, they only know if you are lean or fat.
Legs should be trained but they aren't going to matter if you look good from the waist up.
The only time I got complimented by women for looking in good shape was when I was 160lbs (5ft 10) and I didn't have visible abs, probably 17% bodyfat. Women really don't expect much from your physique, always better to be leaner, no reason to get fat unless you want to ego lift in the gym

Be careful with using weight classes for things like UFC, wrestling, etc. when giving examples of a good body at a given weight. Those guys cut water to make weight and are often significantly heavier than their specified weight class. It's not unusual to have a "170 lb" fighter actually weigh 185+ at the time of his fight.

Yeah that's a really good point, there's guys like Mighty Mouse who are genuinely their weight classes weight and are great examples but there are for sure so many guys who can make it confusing on what 70kg, 77kg, etc looks like.

You don't just train legs for the muscles, you train them for test increase and you want to be fit overal right?

  • @self_improvement_d

So what should you do if you naturally have a small frame?
I currently still have a shoulder to waist ratio of 1.45 after going to the gym for over a year, I would need massive body-builder like shoulders to get even near 1.6x
For me, a guy who was 5'10 and 130lbs before starting to work out, I do need to get to bodybuilder size to actually start to show size through my clothes.

If it's purely a skeletal structure thing I wouldn't be too worried, do your best to look good of course but your clavicles and waist can affect how you look.
