I'm keen to return to saigon at somepoint, but after staying there for around a year the constant construction begun to really take its toll on my sanity. There's a specific metal on metal clanging noise that would drive me fcking insane!
Excellent work, Tyler. I personally find cigarette smoke repulsive. It literally makes me sick. I'm not a smoke Nazi or anything, I just can't tolerate it. So yeah, I'll be looking for other options. Thanks for the heads up.
That's great info. Tyler, thanks. Most of Asia in general has little respect for the environment it seems, which is sad becauser the environmnent in locations such as China and Vietnam is one of real natural beauty. I would like to visit Ho Chi Minh City but also am thinking of Hanoi, will be in Thailand this week and I will see.
It really is a shame. America is no different though. If we didnt't have the infrastructure and regulations people would definitely still be disrespectful to the earth. You should definitely visit if you can make the trip. You won't regret it!
Thats's awesome Benson I am glad I can provide value! Thank you for supporting the channel. I headed back to America a couple of days ago so back in the states now!
From the things you’re saying I think you want more of a 1st world country but have the ability to experience a culture vastly different from yours. I think looking into teaching English in Korea would be up your alley. I’ve been here 3 years and it’s a tough place to leave. Great video!
Can we get some insight on nightlight and the social scene in Da Nang/Nha Trang? I've heard the locals perfer to socialize amongst each other. Are there enough foreigners that you can make friend while out partying?
Good question. Both Da Nang and Nha Trang have an abundance of foreigners for you to socialize with. You won't have a problem in either place. Nha Trang had slightly more of a population of foreigners while I was there, but again both cities are swarming with tourists from all around the world. Both also have unlimited night life if you are someone who likes to go out and party.
Much nicer in Thailand and Vietnam than the Philippines. Streets are very clean in Da Nang. Cebu City and Manila there was trash everywhere. Horrible smells. Water ways full of Garbage. Da Nang is cleaner than 95 percent of American Cities I have been to. Same goes for Bangkok.
The rubbish and the smoking give me the shites but I'll probably retire there because it's just so much easier to enjoy life there compared to how crazy everything is in the west.
Yep. It all depends on what you want out of your life. Depending on when you retire if its 10-15 years down the road I would estimate that the smoking and trash will have improved a lot due to the western world migrating over to Southeast Asia for wuality of living and bringing its standards of living along the way. Either way Vietnam is still a fantastic place.
Most foreigners promoting lower cost of living in VN, TH etc dont factor in hidden costs of poor quality of life, even if one can afford material standards of western life style
@@tylerowenfitoh I see. Have a safe trip back to the US. Thanks for sharing all the great vlogs. 👍❤😇 Hopefully you will be back to Vietnam in the future. 😊
