it annoys me so much whenever anyone says they hate each other. whether you ship them or not they clearly share a extreme bond. They trust their life in the others hands even when on opposite sides. The smile that dazai gives chuuya after he uses corruption against lovecraft is enough proof on its own. Dazai is massively depressed and basically lacks any meaning or happiness in his life, he acts happy but its obviously fake. Yet he smiles at chuuya even though chuuya can't see. He's not faking it for others benefit. thats real.
They don't hate each other. they are annoyed by the other (most chuuya being annoyed at dazai) and they might say they hate each other but i don't think they ever did or will. not fully at any rate.

Before I met Chuuya I figured Dazai was supposed to be paired with Kunikida and I just didn't feel it. Then I met Chuuya and saw his interactions with Dazai and was like, that's the one. I respect the other pairs, but I am pretty strongly attached to Soukoku be it romantically or platonically, I like it both ways just depending on the day. I think it's because of their deep bond.

No matter what they're saying, they really care about each other. I can't imagine Dazai being mentally stable without Chuuya. Same goes for Chuuya. Because of the same ages each of them is the reason of the other's mental survival.

Someone else who sees it the way I do!!! I jokingly say that Dazai and Chuuya have four kids, with a potential fifth. There's Aktugawa and Gin, who followed Mom in the Port Mafia and are in Chuuya's custody, then you Atsushi and Kyoka, the two who followed dad into the ADA and are in Dazai's custody. The 5th kid is obviously Q, or if you're into the crazy conspiracy theories, Aya Koda, because she's the perfect blend of both of them.

The fact that the lyrics make so much sense for soukoku.... Like we all saw how Dazai kept on moving towards dark and maniac behavior but then Chuuya became his partner and slowly all the actions were finished by him, he did all the dirty works, and dazai didn't have to use his hands to clear stuff out, Chuuya filled his spot slowly, that is the reason Dazai could leave the mafia or else Mori would've just grabbed him back, he went towards the light but Chuuya was left in the dirt... Even though Dazai was the only one who knew he isn't a human Chuuya had so much humanity, towards his comrades, he treated his co-workers and team like family, even to show respect to the dead, he had the hunch to live life, to keep the humanity that was left off him... We all kniw all these are canon and head canons.... But yeah it makes so sense, it's so true that even though Dazai left he can't keep on living without getting involved with him, it's just not possible....

Dazai is kind of a psychopath so
In an article it was explained thoroughly. Chuuya is a person with boundaries and an ethic code that he follows strictly. This code includes respecting the deceased (stops Dazai from shooting a dead enemy and respects Rimbaud when he was dying and afterwards) and he despises betrayal (reason why he dislikes Dazai so much). Dazai on the other hand is a depressed young man with little awareness of right and wrong (he doesnt feel empathy even when he works for the ADA) who basically changes sides not because of morals, but because his friend Odasaku suggested it. In the end, Chuuya is a "good" person working for the badies and Dazai is an "evil" person working with the goodies. Thats why they cant stand each other.
@@rulerthelion860 They're a lot deeper than just not being able to stand each other though. They know each other inside out. Dazai only lets Chuuya manhandle him, and Chuuya goes to the trouble of trying/making Dazai laugh depending on Anime or manga. He's the only one that gets a real smile out of Dazai without Dazai feeling like he's supposed to be smiling. Dazai is actually doing a lot better among the ADA than the PM, he has learned some compassion, but he's at his best and happiest when around Chuuya. In Dead Apple,Chuuya was the only one that didn't think Dazai was dead when the Dragon appeared, even Ango who is supposedly a friend of Dazai's believed him dead. Chuuya would essentially be commiting suicide if he used corruption and Dazai was actually dead. They rely on each other quite a bit even while being on separate sides. They trust each other more than anyone or anything else, no matter the betrayal between them. You also have to remember that Dazai is the one that brought Chuuya to the PM, they grew up together, and understood each other from their first meeting. How hard was it on Chuuya without Dazai by his side and how hurt must he have been when Dazai defected? On Dazai's end, it was probably his insecurities acting up, he didn't think Chuuya would be willing to come with him, or he didn't want to take Chuuya away from a second home/family after he was the one to take him from the Sheep and into the Port Mafia.

This whole song feels like chuuya singing to dazai idk why it just fits and the scenes fit well with the music especially 1:10, I always laugh at that scene plus the music just made it funnier.

I really-really can’t get it, how anybody would ever believe they hate eachother!!! They clearly know eachother in depths nobody else does, and they do love, trust and accept eachother despite their barbs. Just for example: Remember S05E11? Dazai practically placed his life into Chuuya's hand. Or all the scenes in Dead apple? Where the only thing Chuuya was thinking about before facing the dragon, was to get to and save Dazai. Even Ango knew who was the ultimate ace to mention to Chuuya, in his attempt to make Chuuya act. And not to mention all that came during and after Chuuya rescued Dazai. 😊 It wasn’t even sublime.
And then Mori's speech, or confession at the end? C'mon, no matter his reasons, that man is definitely a Shoukoku shipper.
So, No!!!! They definitely don’t hate eachother. They are more like a bickering but totally head over in heels in love married couple.
