I have one I'm satisfied with it ,I didn't like the stock scales so I ordered metton boss titanium scales and a titanium back spacer and a titanium button for it, way better now, also took the second detent out👍
Good review! On the clip, because they use the same clip on the PM2 sometimes they include the wrong screws with the clip. It happened to me a couple of times.
I'm getting the same color scales but for a pm2, I'm going to etch the color off if I don't end up liking the color, and just polish the titanium and maybe re anodize to a color i like...but for 76$ I'm fine with the scales, very nice quality for sure 👌
Been very interested in the Smock. Looks like a great knife for EDC. Wasn't a fan of the shape until I saw a couple reviews, but it has grown on me. Just wonder if I'd like that button or the regular compression lock on one of the other models, or even the Manix.
Been carrying a Smock as my main edc for six months now. Honestly? The button was the biggest seller for me initially and I truly love it for my preferred usage- Out of pocket Flick open Do the task Close Back in pocket With as much economy of motion as possible. This was my first "button" lock and it's kinda ruined me on other locking mechanisms for efficiency. The handle was the most awkward thing for me, but I've come to only use it with my finger or thumb(edge up) in the choil. Keeping your finger there also keeps that choil from snagging on longer cuts.
Looks like one of Spyderco's "gimic" knives in that the features and design is less for function but just to attract collectors or fans of Spyderco knvies. The bade shape being so flat...wharncliffe style...makes the use more specific Vs a blade with a belly and a wider blade. Has a button-lock, flipper is out of the way..a good idea....and the blade length i believe is over 3" making this knife illegal to carry in public in most states...at it's a "locking" knife...also making it illegal to carry... So it stays home? :) cutting.....? :)
Perfect edc knife
Great knife and great video! I am reviewing the smock this week! Love it!
Thanks! I’ll have to swing by your channel and check it out!
Great video ! I’ve been wanting one ! I find the design refreshing and unique for spyderco
