- Brushless converted Losi 5ive b with castle XLX2 and 1100KV motor VS Losi DBXL-E 2.0 with same castle system and lots of upgrades. One has to leave the shop and i need help deciding. Let me know your thoughts and why you would keep the 5ive b or the dbxle
5ive b for the win!
😎👍👍
The 5B looked butter smooth and more suited to the day’s running 💯😎🥳
100% for sure!! Dxble has been sold. I have done one track day with the b and it was fantastic. I’m going to be putting it against the ramp soon.
I would say sell the dbxl and keep the 5ive b the 5ive b is a stronger platform I think. The dbxl I used to have never lasted long enough to run a full tank thru whenever i took it out or a full battery. diffs always went bad quick same with the center diff and bent the chassis every other time I ripped it just by roll overs awesome rips with the 5ive b and jumps
Thank you for sharing your experience. I as well have not had a full successful run with my dbxle.
5ive b for sure! Love my brushless 5ive b. What body do you have on your b? I like that it has no holes
5ive b was the winner 👍. It’s the mcd rr5 max body. I purchased from cardinal racing but you have to specify no cutouts.
@@aaronshobbygarage2338 that's great to hear the 5ive platform is solid. Thanks for the information on the body! Are the dimensions pretty close to the stock 5ive-B body or is some cutting involved?
@@owensawatzky1199 very close in dimensions. I cut a little off front and back to allow some flex and I had to cut the rear body posts. Find me on Facebook and I will share pictures 👍
Love the video. Do you think the body of the Losi 5b could fit on dbxl?
I suppose anything is possible but the b body is hard to find now. The dbxl body is narrower not sure about length. Thanks for tuning in!
The b is stronger in every way
Dbxle has been sold and the b is sitting nicely on its shelf 😎
Dbxl-e is a fun rig.. the 2.0 has some nice improvements... but hands down the 5ive-b is the better rig out of the two. The whole rig is built better and its a higher end kit than the "rtr" spec Dbxl-e. Both are fun but 5ive-b is definitely the better rig all around.
100% agree. Dbxle has been sold and the b is looking great in the shop 💪
👍👍👍
The 5b will wheelie if you put 1m diff oil in it
What pinion were you running in the 5ive B?
16t
@@aaronshobbygarage2338 Thanks! It seems about perfect!
The instability of the DBXL is welcome in many cases, but if you are looking to downsize and want increased resistance to damage, the 5T/5B will save you money and time with repairs. Plus you have more room in the 5 chassis to experiment with things beyond the scope of bashing or racing
Thanks for your opinion! I do agree the 5ive platform is much more durable. My b has not let me down once 💪
