I believe Sisters to be a great masterpiece that hasn´t been recognized as such. I have been using it in my classes at the university for years and I keep finding layer after layer of meaning. Deep interesting stuff. Cultural criticism masked as a horror movie. Great interview. I actally had never heard anyone taking about this movie.
Fantastic interview! Just rewatched Sisters tonight again, one of my favorite DePalma films. Jennifer Salt has done great work writing for American Horror Story in recent years, so I'm so happy to see her doing well.
This is the first time I heard of this actress Jennifer Salt & she did a great job improvising so many scenes. Seeing this also reminded me of what a great actor Margot Kidder was too. Thank you for making this documentary.
I think this interview should be a must-see for those that loved Sisters and the work of De Palma. I recently was watching Hi Mom and was delighted by this improvised conversation mentioned here between Jennifer and De Niro and her face and her acting made me want to go and try Sisters. I was impressed and totally fell for the plot, the cast and that blend of Hitchcock and perhaps reminiscing of French cinema. I don't know. Watching Jennifer Salt after some time and learning from her about what was happening behind the scenes back then with such cleverness and focused judgement has been a good opportunity to learn more about a remarkable director.
Wow, that was her real mother -- no wonder they shared good scenes together. She was also in the horror film, "Gargoyles", which is a fun 70's trip. Thank you for posting!!
Jenny is so beautiful! If she's had any plastic surgery the physician should get an Oscar. I love love love this .movie, specially since DePalma wrote it for Margo and Jenny. I recently read a biography of Masha and Dasha, the Russian sisters that inspired DePalma. The ending is perfect. I guess Charles Durning is still atop that telephone pole.
It's interesting to see Jennifer Salt in Sisters and then find episodes of Soap. Grace Collier and Eunice Tate would NOT have gotten along. On one hand, Eunice was a F the Establishment type, but then she got involved with too many guys. All this while living under Chester Tate's ritzy roof.

I heartily concur !
An outstanding, twisted thriller.
