Looks like you and I moved to Vegas in the same year in 2016 from LA and have seen these shifts. This is the most in-depth and honest list of why people have moved. I will share this with people that are thinking of moving here.
I visit LV several times a year, dont gamble much and i dont drink, just love the vibe. My cousin lives there for many years in henderson. Stay off the strip its relaxing. Where i live outside Seattle, there is 270 days of rain a year. I hate it. All good points you mention. I am retired so debating move. Good video.
I moved from CA. I love CA, but moving to Las Vegas was the best decision my wife and I ever made. If you have any questions feel free to reach out. 702-773-9007. Thank you for watching!!
I moved here 9 yes ago (lived here 3 yrs in the 90s, which is why I chose this city to return to). I used to go to the strip 3x a week to just walk up and back 5.3 miles for exercise and to enjoy th scenery. Havent been back to strip since Covid because of parking fees and other prices. Also havent been to Fremont since Covid dueto cost and high prices and parking. I miss thisr being a 24-hr town when i could go to wal-mart when i got off work at 11pm. I feel that I just stay in my house anymore. I would move if it didnt cost too much for the actual move. I miss being able to afford to go out.
Yes, the wages in Las Vegas is a joke. My pay as a nurse at UMC was ridiculously low compared to my pay in California. On top of that, my rent was high, almost like my rent in Los Angeles. Practically 60% of my check went to pay my rent. I lived in Las Vegas for only three years and I hightail it back to California. Las Vegas healthcare industry is disastrous as well. I saw more and more doctors leaving Las Vegas to practice in California because the pay is just better.
Looking to move in May, work in service industry. Know if any realtors/rentals that will work with me. I can pay up to 4-5 months rent in advance. Budget about $1500
Hello. Any tips on a couple moving from Hawaii, late 20’s, no kids, currently each of us works 6 days a week and double shifts in Hawaii, looking to give Vegas a go maybe a year or 2 at the most. My bf works at 2 resorts and I’m an assistant mgr at an arcade and work for a drug testing lab. Not looking to buy a car in hopes of living near work in Vegas.
Congrats!! It’ll be a great move!! They call Las Vegas the ninth island because so many Hawaiians come here. If you are looking to rent and walk, the downtown arts district area is the best in the city other than the strip. The strip is also good, but very expensive. I actually have a video coming out in the next month or so about the most walkable neighborhoods in Las Vegas. I would say overall vegas is not very walkable. But there are neighborhoods you can get by. I hope that helps. Thank you for watching!!
I'm sorry that has been your experience. I don't drink or gamble and I love it here. I found an amazing group of friends though. So I am very lucky. I wish you luck wherever you ended up. Thank you for watching!!

Moved here from Pa in April. So far I’m loving it. Already got run over by a car!
Oh no!! I’m sorry you got hit by a car. Are you ok?
@ I’ve been better. Trying to get healthier and fix myself as much as I can
Did you call the heavy hitter?
@ yes I did!

Las Vegas is great if you bring your own money and don’t need a job .
#11 once you move to Las Vegas and then leave, I would say The percentage of people that always come back is higher than anywhere else.
I've recently ran in to a few people that left for greener pastures and ended up coming back. Great Perspective. Thank you for watching!!
