Thanks for some fantastic recommendations here! Nex Machina is phenomenally fun. It's super difficult though, never managed to finish the final boss in all my attempts yet! I'll be picking up some of these for sure.
Really great list including some games I didn't know existed. As a collector I love physical top game lists. I will certainly be picking up all the ones I don't have. If you haven't played it, I would recommend trying Riddled Corpses which has a physical copy on switch or PS4 from Red Art Games. The more you play it the more gold you collect and the more characters and upgrades you can unlock so you can get further in the story. I love twin stick shooters as they can be such great couch co-op games.

Superstardust may look boring, but I played this as a kid for hours on ps3. I think its worth the 8 bucks. (It gets a lot harder, and the weapon types are pretty satisfying.)
Any newer games you have added to the list? I'm currently playing: Tesla Vs Lovecraft. And Nex Machina. Both are great. And on sale right now Weird i can't find Leap of Fate game anywhere (ps store, psprices, psnprofiles)
.. the lack of a story REALLY disappointed me in Nex Machina. I have not really gone back to play it because of it. Such a bummer because Dead Nation is one of my favourite games ever.
True, sometimes not having the story is super lame. But on the flipside, if the game has a great story and horrible gameplay can it still be good? I think it can, but these days people don't have the patience.

I love Total Carnage, I remember playing it with my brothers on Midway Arcade Treasures 2 for PS2, as well as Narc, too! One I haven't tried yet, but want to pick up for my Vita someday, is Riddled Corpses.
