Minchev è per me una scoperta. Splendido interprete di Paganini! Tecnica superlativa, ottimo archetto! Per eseguire Paganini serve tecnica e soprattutto capacità interpretativa e Minchev la possiede. Bravo!
this is one of my favorite youtube videos (yes, i know, i need a life). it's brilliant playing of course, and he seems so dedicated and into it, playing like his life depends on it. kind of reminds me of Igor oistrakh. he really nailed those 10ths at 3:18 - so difficult to get in tune.
I genuinely think that's so cool of you! never thought of having a favorite TH-cam video, and i just love the simplicity and meticulousness of your comment. I dont know I just absolutely love your comment 😅😄
Considero que no existen palabras para calificar, tanto al violinista, el cual es definitivamente mi preferido, como al incomparable Paganini, en mi humilde opinión el más bello de sus Conciertos. Ciertamente indescriptible.
Mary, It may well have been in the mid 1990's. I saw him play this concerto around this time. Truly awesome performer who puts a lot of the better known soloists in the shade.
@@marymarkus9159 Hi, I think your source may be incorrect. He was born in 1950 so in '87 he'd have only been 37. To the best of my knowledge he's still alive and kicking. mincho-minchev-turns-60
@@marymarkus9159 I understand now. There's a recording of MM playing Tchaikovsky: Russian Dance in 1981. He looks very similar in age to when he played the Paganini. That would fit with Petkov.
So...amazing tone, intonation and great facility...but like many Russian school, is dynamic range is F, FF and FFF. I have never heard this concerto before, and now I know why! Seems tedious writing!! Very uninteresting (to me).
I suggest listening to other recordings of this piece, the orchestra and the recording really takes the depth out of this piece…alexandre dubach did wonders with it
And the great conductor Prof.Dobrin Petkov!!!! What a people....
He is not only a great player, he is a great teacher and an inspiration!
Would be wonderful to see his Brahms concerto broadcast in 1974 if anybody please has it ? At the time MM was 23 thanks
just fantastic
Perfección, emoción, intencidad etc.

Oh thank you..
But I think before 1990's because the maestro already died in 1987!
