My grandmother only likes classical music. Played her this, told her it was the Bohemian Rahpsody by master Frederic Hermes. She fell for it. Good part? She loved it. Bad part? She wants more and now I need more of this.

After maybe 12 years on and off the piano as a self-taught full time working adult, I can more or less play an intermediate grade 5-6 cover. It is just a dream, but I want to play this piece just like you. It's like listening the actual song. You are fantastic, thanks for letting us enjoy this. Freddie forever.

Over 9 years, still one of three best Bohemian Rhapsody Piano Covers besides Jarrod Radnich's & Rousseau's fabulous performances I'd ever heard and seen on earth. • Jarrod had his own amazing style in play, and Rousseau needed 3 hands to make a perfect harmony, while Vika only needed 2 normal hands to make a great cover -- So Wild, So Beautiful! I can feel Freddie sings on this cover 👍🏻👍🏻

Yes it is accurate voicing and harmonically precise , but notice in the beginning the tempo is off beat , and she played her fair share of wrong notes . And towards the middle she goes an octave lower with bass clef ( left hand ) or two than she should’ve . She does remain off beat the entire song , but if it was on beat and a little more careful with her choice of notes , this would be the best one I’ve heard out of all my students arrangements !! Not trying to start an arguement just commenting my opinion!
Ed Ed your performance is precise , with just the right bit of zing , but your not really putting the feeling and emotion into it ! Keep up the great work and make the song visible to your emotions throughout the song , ( Example : if your happy , play it with a bounce . If your sad ,play it with a little graceful sway ! ) then repost and please tag me in the comments !

@Jamesi93 - Jarrod completely butchered the song in his version. Kudos that he's a brilliant pianist with amazing technique, but he spoiled it with way too many glissandos and embellishments. I even prefer Sonya Belousova's version over Jarrod's.

I played that cover to my mum because I obviously like it that much. My dad was upstairs and listened patiently. In the end, he applauded because he thought I was the one playing. I used to play a bit of piano but never that skillfull or anything. Yet this is a special memory to me because it shows a fathers unconditional believe in his Kid. And everytime I listen to this masterpiece it makes me smile because of that.😊

cobaltblue1975 I think you're right...I also noticed something interesting...She doesn't seem to read the sheets at all for the most part of the piece, and she seems to be playing it by ear, except when she gets to the solo by Brian May, when she actually starts reading....Either way, she nailed it..superbly...

When I find myself in need of inspiration or when I’m having trouble with a part, I almost always think of this video or I’ll go watch it and by the end I feel invigorated and overcome with the determination to keep trying until I can’t hold my eyes open or even feel the tips of my fingers.
She makes it look so organic like the piano is part of her. Every little sway of her body and movement of her fingers against the keys is done with grace and minimal effort. She pours her heart and soul into the instrument the way that most people could only hope to.
You, Viktoriya, are my beautiful source of inspiration, frustration and goals.

My brother got me the sheet music for this for Christmas and I’m determined to learn it, so far I’ve spent about an hour on the first page alone, but most of the left hand repeats itself so once I get the pattern down i think I’ll actually be able to play it!

There are several young pianists that want to "show their stuff" by banging out this song. But your maturity and sensitivity shine through. I always compare the "new girl in town" to your interpretation that you performed a decade ago, and I find them coming up short.
