Great job James I Must say you do pick the best songs, Zepplin is my favorite but I have a wide variety of songs that I really love and this was one of them thanks man keep rockin!
Cheers JJ, Doobie Brothers is the feel I get from this great track. Cheers for the lesson's/video's mate, gotta love that right hand rhythm in this song :)
Interesting that you say that. I've liked this song forever, but when I was listening to JJ play it for the first time, the first thing I thought of at the beginning was Listen to the Music.
Nice one James...today I will rock the bedroom ..tomorrow the living room , there is no end for my guitar playing, if I can play in garden next summer...ha ha ..any chance of Patio Lanterns (new version)by Kim Mitchell so I can finally play in the garden next summer 🙌 😀 😁 😄
Finally...I see someone playing a J200. Ive been trying to find someone that has played a J200 along with Taylor's and Martin's. Have you? Or even a Hummingbird or Dove. I'm thinking of getting a J200 because of size, looks and August Rush the move. Chance of finding one to try just isnt happening so any feedback is appreciated.
I have a J200, a D41, a Dove (in Flight, Custom Shop), and a Hummingbird. They're all great, but the J200 is the best acoustic guitar I've ever played.
@@RackNRoLLFarms My 200 is maple. It's tough to find rosewood ones. I like the brightness of the maple, especially since the 200 has such a booming bottom end. Maple gives it a nice balance. And of course, the flame is gorgeous. :)
Nice guitar and lesson Try dropping the G off of the Dsus for the last strum of bar. You step into the Dsus with the hammer, just step out of it and give it a try.
For me, guitar playing is a lot more about the wrist than the fingers. For inspiration, I tend to look to great rhythm players, e.g., Keith, Pete, Malcolm Young, John Lennon, Hendrix (he was the greatest rhythm player in addition to being the greatest lead player).
Man, that turns the clock back. Groovy tune
KTel Hits of the ‘70s! Awesome
Had forgotten about this one. Definitely a classic AM “strummer”.
Great great great song. Awesome job
Hilarious I just saw this on TH-cam and I thought I want to learn it and when I found you giving the lesson I was shocked thank you
Same thing just happened to me!
That is a beautiful guitar!
Three acoustic strummers in one night! Love them all. Thanks for posting these.
Man this one brings back some great memories. Great job, JJ. SWEET sound.
Such a cool song 😊 you did it justice.
Great one JJ .. I had long ago forgotten about this classic ... now I see how the augmentation is done. Gracias amigo !

Summer's gotcha man, thanks for the tunes !!
Love this tune and you lessons/cover. Thanks brother.
Perfection achieved my good man 👌🏼

I miss ya bro
What’s the strumming pattern?
Félicitations bien joué j'adore
Muito bom esse som .couwtry e tudo cara
Thanks!
Excelente
Guess you never know what will become a hit. Gotta just keep writing until that lotto ball lands.
Another Bellamy Brothers song that is good in the same strumming vein is When I'm Away From You.
Is that a epiphone hummingbird or a j200?
That’s a J200.
I notice your index finger isn't on the A string second fret when playing the G chord. Are you muting it with the middle finger?
Yes, I usually mute the A string on a G to make it a G5.
The Bellamy Brothers sometimes perform it live w/Capo 3 sometimes
Chords in that case: C, F, G, C7, Csus4
I’ve seen them each play different chords with capo and without. The voicings sound great together.

@@jamesjames9275 thank you! Doves on flight is the holy grail of guitars IMO.
@@jamesjames9275 is yours maple back and sides? Ive always wondered if its the sheer size or the wood and how a rosewood J200 would be vs maple

GOT IT! THANKS

I definitely hear the electric doing that.
JJ, I know its a lame question but I can barely see a pick in your hand. Small Jazz style? Curious.
Nah, standard size.
Gotta keep a loose wrist for this one
For me, guitar playing is a lot more about the wrist than the fingers. For inspiration, I tend to look to great rhythm players, e.g., Keith, Pete, Malcolm Young, John Lennon, Hendrix (he was the greatest rhythm player in addition to being the greatest lead player).
That's easy enough
Whats the strumming pattern??
You are seeing it and hearing it
