you can clearly hear that most of them are singing live or at least trying to. i dont say theyre the best in live singing but the mics are pretty shitty here and yall cant deny that. either give them better mics or maybe they should try singing a lil louder cos smh when mark raps he can be heard the most clear

Justin Choe I think it just depends on how the singer feels. Like I can see how Taeil can sing with such power since he doesn't have to dance whilst he does so. And yes sometimes it is because of mics, but I think it all depends on how jam packed the choreography is ( coming from a singer themselves ). That is why they give them the option to lip sync after all for something which has a lot of choreography. I think in a song with more vocals and less choreography they can showcase their vocals more.

I'm not sure if everyone tried singing live, but I know that Taeil and Doyoung of the vocalists were definitely singing live and being picked up by their mics well, and Mark and Taeyong were definitely doing their raps live and being picked up pretty well. I have a feeling that at least Winwin, Johnny, and Yuta's mics were turned way down in the mix so even if they were singing or rapping live you can't hear them anyway. And if anyone thinks that those that you can hear live vocals/rap from sound pretty bad, they need to realize most groups aren't super good live at the beginning. Super Junior wasn't very good at first and neither was TVXQ, SHINee had their moments of funky singing live, EXO had crazy choreo with their debut song too and had some issues with vocals when they started. I think it's probably worse for non SM groups, since at least SM trains the heck out of their artists. No matter what, based on this choreo and the strength needed for the vocals and rap, the four I mentioned that could definitely be heard live killed it.
