What you said about how he sounds when he speaks English just remember me how I sound when I speak Korean, and when I'm speaking English. I think we incorporate the language sound in some specific way, idk. I've heard people who speak different languages talk about how their voice's intonation change, how they gesture more or less, how they feel like they become different versions of themselves. This for me it's the best when you're speaking/learning another language.

They've improved so much now. If someone told me to make small talk in Korean while I barely knew the language I would probably freeze up. The poor cashier Dominos girl when he said Vincent Van Gogh lmao, she's like what in the fuck. Golden moment. I also don't like Starbucks. I love me some iced coffee and lattes and all that but they always mess up my order. I've never had a good experience in any of my local Starbucks and it's overpriced.
Bruh i agree on the starbucks thing tbh. I saw two videos where one time this girl poured regular milk into a soy milk blender and this, i guess, would have been decently okay if she cleaned the blender good, but then she didnt clean it, she just rinsed it and put it back. The second time was when someone put almond milk into the soy milk blender as well, they didnt clean it either. The reason i was so triggered was because im deathly allergic to milk and all nuts, i was contemplating on trying out starbucks but when i saw those videos i decided to never go. not to mention i dont get why their popular really... its kinda overpriced... Like most people with the second language they learn - you always understand more than you speak - especially when you start speaking it as you are not confident at first. This is more so with the asian language speakers as they construct their sentances differently - so while you might know the individual words - putting them into legible phrases can be hard. I have found this with learning Korean - I understand a lot of words and phrases - but the thought of having to actually speak to a Korean person fills me with fear that I will "get it wrong" and sound stupid. I imagine this would be maginifed x10000 for someone whos every word is recorded and discussed. I think the boys know lots of words in many languages , and probably understand a great deal of the english spoken to them, knowing how they love to meet every challenge it wont be long before they are all fluent - look how great they do with their Japanese Interviews - none of them spoke Japanese yet now they do. BTW love your reactions - you are one of my favourite BTS reactors - I love that you don't use them for clicks but are actually getting to know them as a real ARMY - I'm sure you have helped many others to see how wonderful BTS are..... watching you is like reliving my own journey in 2016.... One thing I've noticed living where I do is people are all, "Why are you here if you don't speak English?" or "I hate that they sound so weird trying to speak English" whereas when I went to Japan, we got big smiles for just ATTEMPTING Japanese. Even if it was just a simple greeting or common phrase that we probably butchered, we got big smiles and "Very good!" and stuff like that. It seems like where I live people scoff at folks for at least trying instead of be impressed they gave it a shot.
I'm from Turkey and I'm studying business in English at university. It is very difficult to learn a different language because although English is taught in middle and high school in my country, this education is not enough for you to speak. It's a very boring education and only grammar style is taught. Being able to speak fluently takes some serious practice. I can understand most things, but it is very difficult to talk about different topics :(

Yep, I think by now that they are all pretty fluent, but I believe that Koreans can be very shy speaking English with native English speakers (and I understand this - I did French at school, but when in France, I got laughed at a LOT, so I became reluctant to try (my vocabulary, grammar etc were good, so reading was not a problem, but my pronunciation was funny 😂🤷♂️)...In South Africa, I have had to learn Zulu and some Afrikaans for work, and I have no choice but to use it, so although my vocabulary isn’t the best (I haven’t done enough formal study), my pronunciation is decent because I hear both languages every day, and people are very kind about correcting my mistakes - they mostly think it’s cute that I try 🙏 So all of them have been learning English for a few years now, and I suspect they understand almost everything - I have seen them read English with no trouble at all - I think they are just shy about their pronunciation or making a mistake or that native speakers will suddenly expect them to be perfect in English.

SEB! You can 100% learn another language! I learned the Korean alphabet (hangul) and how to read/speak it within a few months! currently studying sentence structure and conversational korean. If you could learn a language what would you choose?

IHOP, Denny those type of companies that have unlimited coffee they change their pots once it gets low they change the entire pot so they don't burn the coffee. Starbucks does not and then make you spend $7 for a small cup. Hispanics understand that others try to use their small Spanish skills but most time white people look at you like look I am speaking your language because I know 2 languages to you 1 or when they don't know what to say they YELL O R s p e a k s l ow ly and I want to say I speak English lady.
