I feel like there's also the sense that each time they were added it was basically like Fake New Content for players who aren't already maxed out, or don't want to spend 2000 gems per run on characters who consistently feel arbitrarily weak. Personally, I think Airbender and Demonmancer were originally in development AS legendary heroes, since like the legendary heroes, they sort of break the stat balance formula that balance everyone else, they have unique mechanisms that virtually make them metaprogression reliant (not so virtually in Demonmancer's case, she just doesn't work without her signature buff or Eligos). This would also explain why the most recent characters all started with a single skill, when the last normal characters before the Legendary Hero system came to started with a baseline of two. As for why they were moved off, I believe chillyroom might have taken it to heart when someone on twitter said they found normal characters more hype inducing announcements than legendary character announcements.
Good theory. The legendary characters could've had the same hype if chillyroom put the same effort into them that they did with the costume prince, for example.

Legendary heroes really do need a rework, trying to get a gold frame for them is hard It took me an embarrassingly long time just to get a gold frame for all of them, not to mention all the gems and materials needed for every run. And after all of that I never use any of them anymore. That being said this video is very well made, the video essay of soul knight is quite refreshing from the usual tips and tutorial content I've seen. The memes and jokes also make the video so much more entertaining. I hope this video gets the attention that it deserves.
@Elite_867 You know what, I was thinking of a new mechanic that ChillyRoom should add, which is to make a new type of weapons, which is shoes ( boots ), and it would be similar to the beheaded skill when you hit with it, and for example, when you hold the button, you can move quickly or with a sliding movement and make an effect that hurts the monsters.
Vorpan and spartan sandals are basically one of dead cells signature weapons lol Vorpan would crit apon hitting enemies facing you Spartan sandals is actually very good there as it's 2d and rooms are small so always do crazy damage when hitting walls and enemies... Also enemies flying away is just funny af That's why beheaded has them but they do not work on soul knight because sandals don't knock back bosses and there's high chance of missing collateral hits... Pan is pretty good tho it stuns because in dead cells if u smack a enemy enough times they get stunned otherwise u would just dodge non stop like rouge does in sk (dead cells player)
The reason the beheaded loses the own for short time apon taking hp damage is because that's how it works in dead cells Active pet that disables and get cool down when u get hit cuz it's pretty overpowered there... It's like a machine gun that shoots arrows and can be enraged to shoot even more arrows Op but in sk pets attack so slow so they just gave it high damage per shot with slow rof The total opposite of dead cells
there are almost no soul knigth youtuber so a new one is very appreciated and frankly you are great very good editing storytelling commentary and good jokes love man❤

I just stumbled upon this video, and while the Bada** mode is what the core of the game is, ironically, The Beheaded is an absolute beast in Rosemary Island. Sure, that can be said with other heroes, but even among the legendary heroes, the Beheaded with a massive mob crowd is a free real estate. The other one who could be a beast in the seasonal mode is Element Envoy because elemental damage. The rest of the legendary heroes however just falls flat in there harder than a regular game. GRANTED, RNG is always a thing, and results may vary
Great vid I wasn't expecting this vid to be long and informative with all the characters that are involve but also at the same time I do think the legendary characters need more fixing their kit is really mediocer. Its really annoying to get a gold(doing badass mode) with each of them too I just unlocked all the characters recently so having to see which is better I think I can have a better understanding which to play more often. I kind need you're help with something or maybe the community also I'm trying to grind and get all of my characters into gold with their weapons also but im just wondering which of the abilities best fit each character to help me with the grind. P.S Great vid btw had fun watching this video can't really do any multiplayer with friends cuz of how far they are but if anyone is down im free most of the time except when im working and doing uni.

Here's an idea right? Trickster unlocked with you're not gonna like this trapmaster and wizard. Starting weapon? Magic hat it costs 1 energy and it shoots out 3 bunnies which after hitting a wall/an enemy jump on the closest enemy and disappear. Trickster has 6hp/6 armor and 200 energy. It's passive is dealing double damage to stunned enemies and his skill would hook in closest 5 enemies and shoot out confetti which stuns them for 4 seconds. P.S. it's skill buff from that one NPC would make him hook in 8 enemies instead
ive had a lot of fun and success using interdimensional traveler by treating its skill as a weird rogue cartwheel skill that lets u pass thru walls. i just double jitter-tap spam bare hands while using the skill to finish like 90% of a room's enemies in one skill use. this playstyle is sweat asf tho so i think the character is def not suited for those that are new to using legendary heros.
1.I feel like the legendary characters should be refreshed daily. 2.they should add more skills to them 3 for each or more 3. elemenal envoy pillars should be stackable making a bigger tower and the comb hit buff applies to it making it even bigger. Now for some new skills for the legendary heroes : 1 elemental envoy Skill 2 He/she should summon a cloud which atks with all elemtal buffs in a hexagon. You can also mount this and it'll enhance elemental atk with the passive. Skill 3 Thia would be like a super being is summoned and for each time the ability is used the skill gets stronger. The being has an rng atk Summonning meteors, snow storm or snowballs or a mixed atk of both these atks are both melee and have big aoe dmg.
the element envoy would be great if he got more armor, resistance for all negative efects and if he would have better weapon. i like playing with him beacouse of fun skill but his weapon sucks. the showel from garden is better

Special forces = same but summon characters after using skill, and after pressing skills again with summons, they will use their own skills also.
I like everyone of them. For me, they're more fun to play since you're in disadvantage cuz they aren't characters to play seriously
