I think the debate went, for the most part, as people expected. Trump was grilled, Harris wasn't. Trump got ganged up on and Harris smirked while the moderators did her dirty work for her. I feel like this will back fire on the Harris campaign because she never got challenged, she still looks weak and unsubstantive, and now she just looks like the kind of bully who is too cowardly to pull her own punches, but enjoys watching the beating. And, I think she got the questions ahead of time. Her answers were too well rehearsed.
I really didn't get the impression that the moderators 'grilled' anyone last night. In fact, they let Trump speak more frequently and for longer than they allowed Harris. Moreover, when preparing for an important test, job interview, or event, does one not read over existing materials and rehearse? It is simply the smart thing to do. Trump could have prepared similarly, but he chose not to.
