Nationalistic movies were discouraged . A certain categories of actors were prefered and supported and actors like SUNNY were sidelined systemically.
They could not do this with everyone but they tried their best and eliminated most like SUSHANT SINGH RAJPUT .

Aged 16 - Gaddar 2 is released, watching the film with full understanding. Analysing Tara Singh’s transformation from being a pure hearted innocent, soft spoken man to a Man with his principle and ruthless nature . TBH Tara Singh is one of the most pure hearted characters I have seen till now in Indian cinema

My opinion and review on Gadar2 movie...
Gadar part1 is a timeless classic movie. Biggest mass movie ever. No other movie can replace and repeat the same feelings and emotions.
And I hate to say but Gadar2 is a disappointment when compared to its predecessor but still just to get the nostalgic feeling again after 22 years it deserves to be watched in theatres especially in single screen theatres. Songs are the backbone and emotions will get alive once again. Ofcourse action is over the top but this is totally expected and acceptable only for a movie like Gadar. This is one of the only movies where I love over the top action scenes.
But this time almost all actors disappointed with their overacting except Sunny Deol.
Still my suggestion would be to watch this in theatres just for Sunny Deol, his acting, action scenes and his unique and high pitched dialogue delivery style.
Overall rating - 7/10. Mostly the rating is just for songs, nostalgia, sunny deol’s dialogues, over-the-top action scenes (funny hand-pump scene) and for Sunny paaji himself.
