Marc's guitar here is a Gibson Les Paul Standard which had the neck broken off in an accident at an airport (Marc saw it happen). He had a neck from a Les Paul Custom put on to replace the broken one. Several years ago, Gibson released a Marc Bolan Les Paul replica. He must have really liked that guitar. When it was stolen, he bought a wine red Les Paul Standard (as seen on the Marc tv show).
I have a list like that and this is going on it. . Also has Kick Out the Jams on it by MC5 on the Beat Club TV show in Germany. Check it out. Gets me up and going in the morning. 🙏

The played the singles even a few days before official release. The task was somehow calculating when the next T.Rex single was supposed to be released. Remember that the first time Children of the R. was played I was on Radio L. Amazing to remember.

Marc Bolan was one of the nicest people. He was always ready to offer good advice to new bands. Believe me, I was on the receiving end of some of it. Then sadly he died in 1977, the same year as Elvis and my mum.

I think this is my favourite T.Rex single & considering the great run they had between ‘70 & ‘73 that’s praise indeed. Love it, it has a bit more grind, power & raunch than the others. Definitely one to crank up in the car & let rip to!
