    What is also amazing: This was their first festival performance outside of Japan ! And the festival promoters put them on the main stage. Most of the audience had no idea who they were before they got started. This video is the last song in their set of that day. And you can see the audience accepted them.

    All good things will come to an end at some point. We all know BABYMETAL like the all other great bands out there will end at some point, some sooner rather than later. That's why the best thing that we can do right now is to just enjoy them while we can. :)

    You won't believe their age for this performance. Yui and Moa is 14 years old, Su is 16 years old. This performance brought the world's attention to them. Their first song is Doki Doki Morning.

    BABYMETAL is amazing! Thanks for sharing.

    The "Baby" in BABYMETAL refers to the birth of a new style/genre in Heavy Metal. It doesn't refer to their age.

      Thanks for the info. Now the BABYMETAL makes a lot more sense to us.

    • @Wombatmetal

      It is actually a play on words. Heavy metal is written ヘビーメタル, pronounced hebimetaru. Babymetal is written ベビーメタル and pronounced bebimetaru. The slashes on the first character are the only difference. It's a pun

    • @agmohdadi
      @agmohdadi 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Dean Grant Yes, I'm aware that it's a play on words. But that refers more to the origin of the word Baby in BABYMETAL. The meaning of it however refers to a newborn genre in Heavy Metal instead of it being about their age.

    • @Wombatmetal
      @Wombatmetal 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      True, but to Japanese the characters are more significant than the meanings. Names are chosen because the kanji is beautiful, not for the meanings. Same here
      But you are correct that "baby" denotes newness to Japanese, "baby" means something else to us entirely

      it isn't kanji though, ヘビーメタルとベビメタル is katakana, which dont really have meaning except just pronoucniation

    Babymetal has many amazing live performances. They are at their very best when they are live. The performance of "Karate" at the 2016 Download festival is absolutely amazing, one of the best by any group of any genre, in my opinion. "Catch Me If You Can" at this year's Rising Sun Rock Festival was astoundingly great. The total performance at Wembley Arena was beyond belief. However, this performance at the 2014 Sonisphere show is much more influential than any of those others. It was their first festival concert outside of Japan, and they just nailed it in front of what was reported to be 65,000 attendees on foreign territory and at such a young age. Truly a historical performance in my opinion. BTW: I own two Fox God masks myself...LOL

    Some quick info: the main singer (su) is now 19 years old..and the 2 dancing girls are 2 years younger. As far as the name. Babymetal was meant to be a little gimmick when they were like 12 and 14 for just a little bit, but it blew everyones mind and became a now record breaking mega global hit band.
    How it will evolve...nobody knows..they keep getting bigger..but theory is, in a year or so, they turn from "babymetal" to perhaps "babemetal" or something...who knows, they don't even know.

    • @rickwagner-
      @rickwagner- 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +Rob Xsiq That's pretty close to being correct. Su will be 19 on December 20th, 2016. Yui and Moa are a year and a half younger.

    • @robxsiq7744
      @robxsiq7744 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rick Wagner close enough. not sure why I thought she already had her birthday.

    • @lyleschoepflin5444
      @lyleschoepflin5444 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rick Wagner I know Moa turned 17 on 23rd of October and she's the youngest.

    • @robxsiq7744
      @robxsiq7744 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lyle Schoepflin that checks out. Yui is older by like a month or so, so about a year and a half means Su hits her last teen year this December.
      once they are all 18+, I wonder if the band name changes...change the Y to a E or something.

    • @rickwagner-
      @rickwagner- 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      Lyle Schoepflin Sorry, that's incorrect. Moa's birthday is the 4th of July. You're right that she is the youngest and currently 17.

    The name Babymetal has nothing to do with the age of the girls. it means roughly "New Metal" :)

    It was a skeleton band, then a ghost band (called the Kami Band) and will probably be something else on Baby Metal's next go-around.

    Are you Korean? Don't look down on the Japanese.
    Other Japanese have also commented, but you just talk about what you want to say and nothing about music.
    It's been four years since I uploaded this video.
    What happened to you four years later? The woman on the left will have many wrinkles on her face, right? And the man on the right has become bald on top, right?
    There was also a comment that the man's attitude was bad.
    Reacting with a bad attitude makes people uncomfortable.
    You should make a reaction video a little more seriously.
    あなたは韓国人ですか? 日本人を見下すなよ!
    他の日本人もコメントしていますが、あなたは音楽については何も話しません。
    この動画をアップロードしてから4年が経っています。
    4年後のあなたはどうですか? 左側の女性は顔にしわが多くなったでしょう?
    そして右側の男はハゲになっていることでしょう。
    男性の態度が悪いというコメントもありました。
    悪い態度で反応すると人々は不快になります。
    あなたはもう少し真剣に反応ビデオを作る必要があります。

      Wow we have an internet tough guy/girl here who likes to talk shit.
      Stop talking bullshit. We are not Korean and we don't look down on Japanese people.
      It's funny how you talk about other people's attitude while you wish bad luck to strangers.
