- Adam Carolla appears on "The Wease Show" and the appearance does not go well. Carolla talks about the Wease segment on "The Adam Carolla Show". Brother Wease and crew respond on his show with Dave Attell stuck in the middle. The possibility that Adam Carolla could be part of a conspiracy against Brother Wease is discussed. Wease name drops Howard Lapides to anyone with a pulse.
I can tell Wease is exactly the guy Opie learned from. The ballwash attitude on Wease's show is exactly what the Opster throbs for.

Wease has a very uncomfortable way of asking questions and every time he talks, he almost comes off as hostile. It makes sense that Opie looked up to this guy..

This was a bad interview, but it's clearly Wease's fault. Adam came on to promote a book, and Wease decides he wants to talk about the one that's out-of-print. Then he starts bringing up dirt on Adam and trying to confront him with behind-the-scenes politics. Then he says that Adam was "stonewalling" him.
This is one of the most unprofessional interviews I've ever heard. I don't know how anyone can listen to this and think that Adam did anything wrong.
Oh, and nice attempt at minimizing Adam's career, asshole. Adam's done TV, movies, and radio. Who the fuck is Brother Wease? I never heard of this guy before. I clicked on this thinking that it was Donny.

It's kind of funny how they downplay Carolla's fame by pretending to not know what "station" he's on. The Wease air's to Rochester, NY metro area which is about a million people. Carolla gets about about 200k listeners per day, worldwide. So unless 1 in 5 people in Rochester are listening everyday to Wease, his audience size is probably not even in the same order of magnitude as Adam's. Just compare their wikipedia pages; one is a little thin... no prizes for guessing which.
If Tom Cruise was coming on to promote a new movie, would he start the interview saying he's not interested in the new movie, wants to talk about Top Gun, and boy oh boy wasn't Anthony Edwards' agent a great guy?
Michael McLees They wish they had the success of Coralla in radio. He had two syndicated radio shows that were number one in many of the markets. Loveline and The Adam Carolla Show. Adam was number one in every market except his home network. The radio station changed formats and got rid of him as well as everyone at the station.
Wease is the type of douchebag who thinks that because he gets to go to local concerts for free that his in the "industry" ... its pathetic. I've hated him since the first time I heard him... but for some reason people around here love him.
Idk, I grew up listening to Wease. Say what you want about him, but he doesn't pretend. One thing I can say for sure is Wease is Wease. There is no radio personality. This sucks! There are certain segments of this video where they're not talking about Howard Lapides. I clicked on this video hoping to hear people talk about nothing but Howard Lapides for a full 38 and a half minutes.

He didn't get fired in LA stupid boring radio show guy who I've never heard of. 97.1- KLSX switched from talk radio to top 40 during the crash of 2007-2008. Adam Carolla, Tom Leykis, Tim Conway Jr, Frosty Heidi and Frank(the triplets) all left when the station shut down. Any of these shows would kill this guys ratings. I live in SoCal so I know.
So this is the lesson from the master broadcaster: Make it all about yourself even when you're conducting an interview. One must do this in order to convince your audience of rubes that you are the coolest guy in the room.
guarantee Wease does this on every phone interview where he knows he's just one stop on a tour. Wease can't stand the thought that he's that unimportant so he intentionally pisses off the guest or does something stupid to try to "make his mark" and "stand out" from the other interviews. also, because Carolla is super famous, Wease was hoping for some publicity, which in all fairness, he did get.
The main things Opie learned from him... always make yourself sound more important than you are.. pretend that you know everything, but are too cool to care.... and if you say something wrong and get corrected either double down or pretend you said the correct thing all along.

The only part I found somewhat listenable on wease’s show was the part where they were talking about how their co-worker holds a cell phone like a baby. I think wease was just looking to have a casual podcast type conversation while Adam was under the impression that it was another run of the mill plug on an unrelated show. Big misunderstanding, but also, wease is an asshole.
