Check out Nexus Mods (Google Search). They have a lot of SFX files to replace TR 1 & 2's original sound files. I just replaced the Raptor voice with the sound from the Jurassic Park movie and it sounds awesome😸
@@BoobooAndre this game came out in 1996. It was still the early days of 3D games and people were still figuring out how to really do it right. It's okay to look at guides and walkthroughs. I used a guide for my first run through TR and TR2. Once i had the games memorized my enjoyment of them increased greatly. Before that though i was terrified to play the game because it felt more like a horror game than a rollicking adventure.
@@chantelparker4108 yeah. I know. But I was making a statement. "I really enjoy the content of this channel and wish all the videos were much much longer"
I feel like the remaster suffers from the inability to make the level design…more readable. I get that the game wants its environments to feel truly natural or organic. This does NOT feel like a video game level and that makes you feel like you are going through the wilderness like an actual explorer…but that also causes the issue of the environment to not operate how you think it might. Like that waterfall secret the uploaded showed. The game teaches you that you can grab onto ledges, yet they expect you to just know that Lara can shimmy along the edge next to the waterfall and dig her fingers into solid stone to reach an actual ledge. It doesn’t help that these controls are severely outdated. I tried to go in with an open mind as I know this was designed before the likes of DualShock and only months after Mario 64 showed us how we can maneuver in 3D spaces with proper timing and skills, but Lara does not control like an agile badass explorer, she feels like a tank that always overshoots its jumps. I’m genuinely struggling to see how this captivated people back in 1996 when moving the damn protagonist feels like a war of attrition.
You can’t even see the damn ledge at 6:22 because of the shadows. I was stuck here for an hour because it’s so damn hidden. I haven’t seen a game with lighting conditions like this since Kingdom Hearts on the original PS2
@@popplio7891 This game is better with tank controls and keyboard only. The 'modern' controls are responsible for many of the problems of 'modern' game design. That the games are dumbed down and that every other game is a shooter. There are problems like those you describe but they often use visual hints well. Some levels are far better than others. The remaster makes some things worse. One thing is the more realistic lighting, another that some environments become more busy. Even though I don't expect gaming companies to release similar games, 'keyboard only' is an advantage because it sets the game apart from any other game that needs a controller or a mouse. People who are used to it like it (even those like me who are not great at it). There will be people who will continue to play these games. Mario64 compared to Tomb Raider 1 feels childish. Crash bandicoot was visually 1000 times better. It had camera relative movement but the camera was fixed. This type of game design is timeless. The 'modern' controls (where essentially you control the camera to move the character) aren't timeless.
Was there not a random guy shooting at you in this level by tje waterfall and a cutscene for it? I can't have imagined it or have I not triggered it this time round???
2:53 - 3:30 cog1
4:57 - 5:10 cog2
5:30 - 6:00 cog3
Can I just take the opportunity to thank you for your vids from the past. Genuine help.
Hope you enjoy the remaster
I love the remaster so much I just wish they would give tr 1 & 2 remastered better sounds, the third one sounds perfect tho

It's not fair that these early levels are completed so swiftly.
I cannot even figure out where to go, this game is unnecessary difficult

Who ever designed this level must get checked for mental stability
and you need to get your IQ checked

1:24 Oh, sh-! *A Tyrannosaurus Rex!!!!* RUN, LARA!
Oh that’s cool. Just make it look so easy. Took me 3 damn tries to kill that TRex
How do you get her to side step slowly as in 4:18-20?
I'm in tank control so it doesn't matter, but if you are playing in modern control, you cannot use side and back steps.

That's probably Larson, who appears at the end of the next Tomb of Qualopec level.
Did you increase the kill damage? T-Rex died much quicker than the usual.
How do I grab the bridge having trouble crossing it ? Any ideas
Change it to tank controls whenever doing hard stuff like running and grabbing on to things like the bridge. It’s a lot easier.
Jump a bit later than U normally would
Ahhh the bridge knew it was there having to do a long run and grab 😊
mines broken the cogs just jam
Same
Thank you very much.
ボスのライフゲージ出るようになったんだ😲
次のクアロペック最後のラーソン戦でもゲージが出るのでT-REX戦だけではなかったようです
Can someone put all the times when she found the cogs !!! ❤❤❤
They need better lighting its dark in some areas
How to get the achievement without killing the T. rex ?
You don't, you have to kill it
R2 sorted it now 😂
Impressive :O
You a god!!
