- On this episode, Manni heads west to the Rocky Mountains of Alberta in search of a Bighorn Ram. He hadn’t been to this spot before but eager to explore.
Update For the snowflakes out there, I did stay at camp after the ATV ride since it was 400 WMU Zones. You may ATV before noon if you are heading to camp which becomes your place of temporary residence.

A few years ago a friend of mine hunted for bighorn sheep on Blanca Mountain in southern Colorado. He shot a beautiful full curl ram with his 257 Weatherby. It took him 8 hours of hiking after the ram fell for him to reach it. When he got to it he had to scare the coyotes away from it. They got to it before him but caused little damage. Blanca Peak is one of the many 14 teeners in Colorado.
It is possible to find really nice rams in country much lower than the slide rock country. My land which averages 6800 feet home some very beautiful mountain sheep and it is all pinion/juniper country in southern Colorado.
Nice man, I know how much effort something like this takes that was some good filming ! I hit you up with a sub 👍
Thanks for the sub! :)
Great video , Greetings from YYC, I can imagine how brutal it is to hunt those animals in their zone. wow Keep going. I shoot BIG LIKE.👏🌿💕🤠🍂🍷🤙

Thank you, Glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful country man
Very!
leaving on my 3 day solo tomorrow
Best of luck out there, stay safe, shoot straight
Great video. Do you ever mentor new bow hunters that are keen to do harder back country hunts like this?
Always happy to pass on some knowledge, reach out to us on instagram.
@@BorealHuntsman Will do, thanks!
Hunting is never guaranteed. The talking, the scenery for us still made a good video.
Looks good guys 👍😉👍😉
Enjoyed it!!
To bad you didn't get a ram but I hope people can appreciate the fact that you are out there solo. I did it in my younger days and while I ended up killing my first ram with a partner all I can say is if you have that much drive to get out in mountains by yourself you will kill one sooner than later.
Looking forward to seeing your success.
Thank you, much appreciated. 8 years and counting, Hopefully pack out heavy one of these days 🤞🏼
