- Battle of Five Armies -
Azog had been planning to take revenge on the dwarf's , and when the great goblin of the misty mountains was killed by gandalf and his company,and annoyed the great warg,the time was ripe...The goblins of the misty mountains gave there aid to the struggle and even the necromancer of Dol Guldur sent some forces north to help.Azog's forces just happened to arrive at the lonely mountain just as Bard the Bowman [& the forces of Dale],King Thranduil of the Mirkwood and the Dain of the Iron Hills[Dwarves] were about to fight over the spoils of the mountain.The scene was set to see who would gain the dragon's spoils.....
The Orcs and Goblin have the numerical advantage and advantage of position and maneuverability [the wargs] but the forces of men, dwarves and elves have some great fighters and bowmen...The crossing points [of which there are many can be an advantage,for either side

Why do I block out the Mini-Map with annotations for Sub battle replays?
I block it out because the Mini-Map gives away who sent in the battle replay. And in most cases whoever sends in the battle replay wins the battle. So I block it to keep it a surprise :D

The evil factions got crushed, you should've given them like 10k or even more. Very cinematic battle though, and hoooooly shit that intro man do more of these, the music is great too

+brandon cawley I think he might have meant 10k more money, not men. If I am wrong, I would have to say that the evil factions are for the most part not given the right units to go up against the good factions. And instead of giving them more men, better quality units would help more.

That scene of the elves slaughtering the goblins after the general fell was amazing.

Replays of some maps is a pretty good idea. All the participating players have the benefit of reviewing these videos for strengths and weaknesses. That knowledge could raise the level of play.

Loving you work PA, this my favourite battle that you've done and I have watched most of them. would love to see the same battle multiple times as they would rarely play out the same and it would be interesting to see different tactics from both sides and how they effect the outcome.

in warhammer total war would be better you actually have your animations for trolls dragons eagles balrog and nazgul the flying ones

Fun fact: In the book Bilbo is knocked out at the beginning of the battle and only wakes up after it is finished. Kind of anticlimactic but I guess Tolkien couldn't be arsed writing a huge fight scene.

Loved this vid!!! Would love to play some of these scenarios with ya not sure my comp could handle this at all though. I think the battle was a bit unbalanced though. I would kind of expect 11k to make a bit more of a dent against what was close to 6k. Love the mod but the goblins are too under-whelming in battle (Even for goblins). Isengard ftw.
