I can relate so much with this! I too have experienced an unexpected gut-punch from some leaders I worked years alongside. So sad…actually heartbreaking, that conversations could have been had but for some reason were not. So much pain on so many levels could have been avoided. The British have a saying for independently wealthy people who go into government service: getting into harness. I have a saying for getting involved in a high profile ministry like worship leading: crawling under the manure pile. Expect to be ____'d upon. Hold on long enough and you'll see the flowers grow!
