I’m quite surprised that Nicky is a middle child. I’m a middle child, too, but I’m not usually as lively as he is. But I can relate to what he’s saying about his siblings. Middle children like us feel that we don’t get attention as much as the eldest and the youngest do. Perhaps that’s the reason why middle children are more self-reliant. As what Nicky’s mom said about him, he could take care of himself. To many, that is a compliment, but I’m not so sure with middle children. Back then when I was young, it meant that no one would look after me except myself.
yep! i'm a middle child, too. my parents just let me do anything i want, they dont even ask me questions. i chose to study in a 6 hr-away univ from our home and lived on my own. i'm not complaining tho since i know that they trust me. but with my older and younger sibs, they treat em like a child. whenever i'm home, i'm often the one who leads. maybe its bc of this reason plus i'm the only female child. lol.
