What she said is true. Listen to her words. And I think it applies for mostly her , Lauren and Ally. Them three are not the "Beyoncé type performers", more like the T. Swift-Lana del Rey-Adele "type". But L, A, D and N don't feel trapped like Camila does lately. None of their music i think really represents them in a personal level but represents what they want to advocate for : self confidence, self worth.
She just said it for everyone to understand plain and simple, she's not herself in 5H and that's why she's not happy. Now if her contract doesn't let her "leave", why not let all the girls write their own music, after all , they all have intelligent minds and a lot to say. I'm pretty sure Camzi doesn't mean to "appear" as ungrateful but she can't help it anymore. Also maybe she doesn't want to leave because she feels she's not completely ready to go solo and I can just imagine the "uproar" if she does, from people that support her and from the ones that don't.

Elas todas deveriam receber liberdade de se expressarem dentro do grupo enquanto fazem a música delas, elas todas deviam ter inclusive liberdade para se expressarem igualmente fora do grupo. E elas todas deviam receber a mesma atenção dos seus managers e gravadora. Não é culpa de nenhuma delas se fulana recebe mais publicidade ou mais liberdade, não é culpa de nenhuma delas se uma se sente confortável para fazer algo fora da banda ou se outra não sente esse mesmo conforto. Acredito que a essa altura da carreira delas, o fandom inteiro deveria estar ciente de que elas ainda não têm a grandeza necessária para ter certa independência que outros artistas já "consagrado" têm. E que se a uma é permitida fazer algo (parece que o povo esquece que tem algo chamado contrato que permite ou não fazer algo), é porque recebe apoio de quem de fato tem poder e vê como uma forma lucrativa dar essa liberdade, muitas vezes até induzindo àquele tipo de situação. Mas sendo bem honestos, uma boa parte apenas quer desculpas para lançar ódio contra uma delas. Cada nova temporada é a vez de uma. Lauren, inclusive, já foi vítima no passado de parte desses mesmos grupo que hoje escolheram mirar na Camila. A verdade é que logo logo encontrarão uma desculpa para mirar em uma das outras garotas. Exceto um detalhe: O ponto alto do "hate" que elas recebem se resume basicamente às chamadas Laurenizers e Camilizers, o resto é efeito manada.
I agree that the music
of 1st album was not a true representation of them, this is not
something new she said, the same has been said by ally and lauren too if you
have seen 5 H interviews after the album release...lauren has specifically
mentioned in an interview that the message was agreed on by all of us but the
track selection and lyric writing is not in their hands, management has a hold
on it...also we know girls are good at writing...we all loved me n my girls and
who are you...where they co wrote....EP better together was a huge success because
it had girl’s input but the album was majorly management
presentation....so she was not the only one unhappy in the group but since the
introduction of 2nd album thing she is more unhappy because this
album has almost equal solo distribution not like the 1st where
lauren and dinah sang for total 8 minutes together in the whole album as
compared to 13 minutes of Camila’s solo,her fans had
presented her as the face of 5 H which was not actually true....that is why now
when things are changing it’s affecting her due
to which primarily she is looking for options...not to forget in the interview
around hallowen she herself said the 2nd album is more soulful and
is a representation of us more which is what i
wanted...so now why these double standards...just because now even the
management has agreed on to ensure every girl’s
representation to be more..
But still i don’t hate her because she is a good singer but they all need
to understand their fanbase is 50% indiviual based and only 50% harmonizers
which is a hard but true fact so if they only kept themselves to be their
priority then they will lose the fans and their next album would never work
out.Like the 1st one is still not a success because of Lauren and
Dinah’s fandom dissing it badly....

Isabella As únicas músicas que sei que Fifth Harmony fizeram collab com outro artista foram "Sin Contrato" agora com o Maluma e "Vienes o Voy" com o Juan Gabriel (que não é WHO para os Latinos). E Ambas foram a banda toda. Se realmente elas duas tiverem feito algo "lowkey" com outro artista, se você puder postar o link aqui depois, eu agradeço. Mas em uma coisa você está certa: a implicância com o dueto é, em base, por causa do ship. Falo "em base", porque sabemos que quem incita o ódio contra elas mesmas não são as Camren Shippers enciumadas (essas são, aliás, o efeito manada que falei acima com o Thiago), mas sim a infeliz e doentia guerra entre as Laurenizers e as Camilizer (que normalmente, inclusive, começa à partir das gringas). Na verdade se o dueto da Camila fosse com a Taylor, ainda assim receberia mais hate do que se fosse a Lauren e mais hate ainda do que se fosse Dinah/Normani/Ally. Porém, é óbvio que Camila e Lauren vão sempre receber hate quando envolver algum garoto, exatamente pelo que você disse. O fandom quer ditar tudo em relação a elas, como se 5H vivessem uma eterna fanfic cujos roteiristas são os fãs. Eu, por exemplo, sou Camren shipper sim e tenho minha opinião bem pessoal sobre o nível de realidade do ship. Isabella Provavelmente você confundiu porque, vamos combinar, se fosse só Camren esse feat NUNCA ia sumir do radar rsrsrs. Eu cheguei a implicar um pouco com o Shawn no início (não hate!), mas não pelo dueto, e sim porque ele estava sendo um pouco babaquinha em alguns aspectos. Mas NADA justifica enviar ódio contra eles, especialmente o tipo de hate que os desejam a morte ou mesmo ameaças de morte e até esses mesmos tipos de ofensas baixas às famílias de ambos. É um absurdo até onde certas pessoas foram capazes de chegar! E só mostra o quão patéticas e covardes são, porque quero ver fazer esse tipo de discurso na cara deles!

I love when Chelsea interviews the girls or one of the girls because she always ask the perfect questions, and she's very nice and warm to them, she's awesome!
Thanks so much for this interview Chelsea! She's acknowledging when she's on stage with Fifth Harmony she has choreography and she gets to focus on being confident. But IKWYDLS is acoustic, there's no choreography and it's a lot more vulnerable a song so she's not gonna focus on being confident the whole time. But like she says, it's not better or worse, just different. Also it's a lot easier to be openly excited about a song that's OUT than what's being worked on. She's not allowed to say much about songs that aren't out yet, and even if she's excited about one it's a cautious excitement because the song may NOT make the album.

+Michael Eaton my question would be why doesn't she just write for the group then? The other girls, especially Dinah have been writing songs like crazy for 5H2. Now whether they make the album remains to be seen but at least the effort is there. Camila hasn't written for the group at all. She's been writing, but for herself. It's like she knows she's ready to bail and is saving her lyrics for her solo album. 5H could definitely have done an acoustic, soulful song(if that's what she thinks her music is about) much like their early covers.
+pixigirl999 first, none of the songs they've supposedly written are gonna be on the album. you know it and I know it. one of the producers basically said so himself. second, the kind of music the group is making is not her kind. the kind that Dinah wants isn't her kind either. so of course she wouldn't write songs knowing its not what people want. so of course shes gonna feel musically trapped. she hated the previous album. who could blame her. its not her style at all or some of the other girls. so she's frustrated. its the record label and producers fault. they don't give a damn about her or the other girls. they just care about a quick buck at any costs. thus the predicament she's in. the duet was a godsend to her. it gave her some happiness musically that she hasn't had in a long time. it's given her a sense of what it should be like. so she's torn. she loves the girls and what they've shared. however the next album will undoubtedly be something once again she's not happy with. this is the last album on their contract. so she's knows that she may be the last album they do because she's been unhappy. she knows that she will probably be doing her own thing in the near future. so its a very tough situation to be in everyday. trying to stay positive knowing what the end result probably is. it sucks all around. its the record labels fault though. plain and simple.

So I've seen all the comments about what she (Camila)said about her two sides like when she said the when she's with 5h that she feel like she's channeling someone else. Not that it's a bad thing because I'm sure the other girls do the same thing. So when she's by herself she feel like well herself. sometime ago normani said she was always in the minority which basically means most of the songs on 5h are songs that she would not sing. I do not see Lauren or even ally singing half the songs on reflection. so it is not only camila so sings songs that are not her type of music.
Yet you don't see them doing solo music work. Even have gone as far as saying they have no interest in solos or duets away from the band. History shows that's the first step towards leaving a group and causing disbandment.

I wanted to know how it feels for her to be on stage without the other. makes a lot of sense what she's saying, just goes to show that the whole fifth harmony thing is kind of fake , and outside of the group these girls have other interests and stuff. they have to put on the sexy dancer mask when they're fifth harmony, I just hope they can put their differences to the side for as long as possible because fifth harmony is the first girl group in forever to be where they're at . I don't think they see how far they've come, cause they're constantly working and stuff, but they need to stick this out as long as possible , theyre the first girl group to be where they're at in forever
i agree.. they all have very different tastes in music. they just work for their management and their management chose more camila's solos, and again she gets hate for grabbing others solos. i think she is tired of all the hate she gets for every little thing
Honestly I think they have one of the worst managers and producers. When their first album was released I was expecting a more meaningful album. Reflection is not bad , it just didn't make sense to see such talent being used as a pcd type of group. I think the next one is the one that completely makes them or breaks them.
bren bell it was the biggest let down when I didn't hear one r&b/pop/acoustic kind of song on the album. I love the music on the album, but for some reason when you think of a girl group you want to hear music from them like a destiny's child song or so, I guess the album was good to get them on the map but you're right this album will make or break them! Cause the hair flipping and dancing is getting old, like we need to hear actual music from them and not an album full of potential radio hits. The fact that Over wasn't on the album still pisses me off cause that song would've done so much better than We Know
that's why I don't want them to quit now! they just got really famous off of worth it! it's not like they're one direction with fame from the their first single!! but that's the difference between boy groups and girl groups😏

Im a harmonizer but i have to agree that most of the harmonizers are childish. They don't know anything about the music industry. It is the most casual thing if one member is making a solo out of the group. That is called doing buseness and working with other people with music. Plus shouldn't a REAL harmonizer support each member no matter what and the funny thing is camila didn't do anything wrong she didnt killed someone or bullied someone or doing drugs and weed she is just did a solo with shawn and upcoming diplo. Ot4 stanners can leave the fandom already
