We set off on our 600 km motorbike journey across Northern Thailand on the Mae Hong Son loop with our TH-cam friends, the Travel Beans. Day 1 was beautiful, with amazing sights and great weather! We made our first stop at Mae Ya waterfall and finished by camping at Doi Inthanon national park. We highly highly highly recommend this trip!! Don't miss the second part!

Update Feb 2019: Thx to you guys we did this route too taking off with one 125cc from Chiang Mai with 1 Backpack. The waterfall is awesome and very few people! we also went up the mountain for camping, the tents are pre-installed nowadays :) the sunrise at 7am at the top was awesome! we only went to the parking lot 😅 lots and lots of people and reaaaaalllly cold (also in the tent). But awesome experience! thank you so much for sharing

No. It's not required but it's a nice to have. Most places will ask for your passport and if they looked legit we didn't mind leaving it 💜Amanda
