Matthew was also a more private guy to begin with.
Shawn on the other hand has a PR team that really capitilized on their relationship so much, like when Camila was in Mexico with her family, they weren't hounded by fans, but Shawn showed up a few days later in Mexico and than they were followed everywhere by his fans.
