I'm a very advanced guitar player but Sungha is just out of this planet! There is no way in hell I can play like him. This guy is one of the best fingerstyle guitarist, if not the best on youtube.
He's the kind of a musician who doesn't need to have a golden voice to catch the listeners' attention. He just needs to play his guitar to mesmerize the audience. 😍
The thing about sungha is he's soo damn good, i mean technically he is just one of a kind, & soo masterful, but its his soul & emotion that just come out through his playing, that why im so drawn to him, because you can hear who he is on the inside by listening to him audibly as he plays that magic instrument called a guitar
When this video came out, I was jumping out of joy the instant I received the notification. I love this song and I always wondered how Sungha would arrange it because it's just too hard to capture the whole song in a guitar (believe me I tried). I even checked other covers such as Tommy's, which was played with two guitars. You know I am stunned on how Sungha would play the beginning, with the low octaves and all (almost all other covers bring up by one or two octaves the voicing), and omg, you see those chords he use at the chorus and how smooth he moves from the high side of the fretboard to open chords? I was at my friends' appart when this came out, i put it on his speakers, and I made him listen. And even he (a pianist), who knows nothing about guitar, nothing about Sungha, not even the original song, just listening this without watching the vid on screen, he was totally amazed. Just, 👏👏👏👏

Beautiful! I saw Sungha play in New York City with Trace Bundy about 15 years ago. Fantastic concert/fantastic duo. So nice to see him grow over the years. How cool would it be to see a Kent Nishimura/Sungha collaboration. That would be something to see. Two titans in the acoustic world.
